Loki bets that if the variable called Tony Stark would be removed from the algebraic equation/input value, the output value would be "Loki succeeds in taking over the world". So he takes Tony Stark out of the equation, he de-ages him. Will the Avengers finally realize the true value of Tony Stark once he is gone? (will try to add more to the first chapter next week-mind block)

Summary: Loki bets that if the variable called Tony Stark would be removed from the algebraic equation/input value, the output value would be "Loki succeeds in taking over the world". He knows that Tony Stark is the unspoken leader of the Avengers. So take Tony Stark out of the equation, he de-ages him. Will the Avengers finally realize the true value of Tony Stark once he is gone? (Tony-is-de-aged fic)(Warning: mentions of child abuse)

Natasha pondered over the need of Tony Stark being in the Avengers Initiative. She did not see anything. Dr. Banner was a genius (no need for Stark's ego with genius), and Stark's arc reactor was a liability. All of a sudden, a sound interrupted her peaceful reading. She gritted her teeth. What she saw was known none other as –

Loki.

She hated him for what he did to his partner. She absolutely loathed him; hated him with all of his heart.

Loki chuckled, and with the strength of Hermes, swooped and grabbed the infamous, notorious Black Widow by the neck.

He laughed manically, and then Tony Stark appeared. The Russian assassin, with wide eyes, noted the similarities between the two egoistic and (as much as she hated to admit this) geniuses.

Natasha Romanoff's list of similarities between Stark and Loki:

1. Insane

2. Egomaniacs

3. Intelligent

4. Sociopaths

5. High positions in society

6. Black Hair (no offense to all dark haired people out there)

Stark almost appeared … scared for her. But then his face changed, a mask of indifference. Natasha shook that previous notion off. Stark was a sociopath. All that emotion was definitely faked, she assured herself.

Stark exclaimed, "So you came back for that drink I offered, Loki?" with a largely faked chuckle. Loki deftly replied, "Yes I did. Here's your pay!" He shot an orb at Stark. The orb collided with him and left an explosion. And then with a largely maniacal chuckle (he could have taken it from the Joker), he left in a poof with smoke coming from that area.

Natasha ran over to Stark. Emotionless or not, he was still her teammate. So she ran over to see what happened to him. She was expecting to see Tony Stark- not a 6 year old child.
