Troy Bolton looked at the obuteries in alberquerke express, there were three births listed that week. He pulled out some scissors and a big red book out of the draw, cut out the paper section and placed it in the red book there were a year of clippings of boy's and girl's-but yet there was no listed under 'Bolton' .Both he and Gabriella were praying to hear the sound of little feet on the laminate but so far....no such look. They were doing everything right and the doctor said there was nothing to worry about considering she had been pregnant before.....

7months earlier...

"Troy whatever happens pick the baby"

Gabriella Bolton looked into her husband's eyes the anxiousness and the sorrow was visible behind the blue. Her weak body lay on the bed-today for most people today would be wonderful but for troy and Gabriella Bolton they were just one short of a miracle.

The doctors had insisted that the baby would have no chance without this operation but there was a chance she would never wake up.

Everything was going great like it usually does you know - but that's when the monitor went off , people ran past Troy so fast that he didn't get to say anything he looked at the people running around Gabriella and somebody coming out with a little white blanket - he tried to see round but they went out of view- the slow steady beep filled the room and the doctors slowed down Gabriella opened an eye.

"Troy" she croaked he moved a piece of hair out of her face and looked down at her.

"I'm sorry baby girl-I'm so sorry.."

Back to present....

Troy sighed as he heard sobbing coming from his back bedroom he got up and pushed the door open slightly the sight in front of him actually made his heart break. On the bed lay his wife with her back to him, he went and lay behind her while turning her round so that her face would be on his chest, clutched in her hand was a little white stick, this was becoming a monthly thing now.

"I was so sure..."

She was a broken mother with a shattered dream but there was nothing he could do but let nature take its course......

That was 10 months ago, and now Troy took out his little red book and flipped past hundreds of pieces of paper to the front page he cut out the section as he did everyday but for once he had a smile on his face:
