Your hair is russet brown,

curling angelically on your

forehead. I stand in the shadows,

watching from afar, five stone

pillars separate us. I see your

lips move, a smile graces your

mouth. The empty hall fills

with laughter, the girl trying

so hard for you to look at

her, to lust for her; but I

know you. You're shy

to the opposite sex and

don't like the burden a

relationship brings. She

pushes a lock of hair from

her face, hanging on to your

every word. I turn my head

away, muttering fervent prayers

to God, asking forgiveness for

my sin. It not your fault that

you're handsome with a

amazing mind and personality

to match. For it's my ongoing

obsession with you, your voice

rings loud inside my head, your

scent hangs heavily me, like

rich brandy, making me drunk.

It tears at my heart, Desire

and Pain, knowing that

I can never you hold close.

You walk away from her,

disappointment etched upon

her face. You come toward

my spot, I try to melt into

the shadows, but my gold

hair and white skin stand out.

I lower my eyes as you come

over to me. "Hey, how long

have you been there?" you

ask. I lock my eyes with

yours, exotic blue to dark

green, your large goggles

turn them a hazy brown.

"Just a few minutes, want

to go to the library?" I say

casually, another lie to

weigh down my conscious

late at night. You give me

a small smile, your lips curve

beautifully on your face,

warming my heart and bringing

me out from my dark thoughts.

You lead the way, I follow in

silence; unspoken desires rattle

in my mind, wishing to be free

from the dark chamber. We stop

at the doors, a questioning frown

is now on your face, "Are you

sure you're ok...You've been really

quiet." I only smile and nod, you

open the doors and walk through;

a game console appears from the

depths of your pocket. I close the

door of both my dreams and the

library behind me.
