The Sea

The deep blue sea

The soft rippling waves

Between the mountains and me

As all these many days

The sunflowers' petals

Crushed to a grain

As it settles

On the ground as rain

A mimicking colour of the sky

Falls with noise on to the ground

Sometimes calm and soft is thy

Otherwise as loud as a city around

A shadow cast

Across the sea

Deep colours in their vast

Which all look down pointing at me

As tall as can be

With a small ship to pass

Perils that you may not see

Where there is no need to ask

Poseidons land for all to admire

Reaching to his brothers realm

A land so far for all to aspire

The calming place is no helm
