If I owned Bones, she AND Booth would both be crying a lot more!
"Charlie, are you extremely good-looking?" Zach asked.
"Why yes. Hey Zach, are you extremely smart?" Charlie countered.
"I believe so. But I wouldn't know nearly as much without Dr. Brennan teaching me," he replied.
Said woman smirked a little. "Why thank you, Zach. That's sweet."
"That wasn't a compliment; it was just the simple truth."
"But I bet I look better than you! And right now, I'M with her, not you," Charlie cut in, trying to one-up his competition.
"Oh please, I bet you couldn't even tell the difference between the parietal and temporal lobes of the brain," Zach tested.
Bones chuckled. "Wow, Zach. I've never heard you be competitive or act like an alpha-male before," she remarked amusedly.
"Up until now, I haven't had a reason to be," he answered.
Bones's smile grew a bit more. "Thanks, Zach. I find that endearing."
"See, Charlie? She finds me endearing!" he repeated to Charlie. Charlie pouted, but Bones chuckled. Zach was cute when he got defensive! And it still amused her when two males who THOUGHT they were alpha males (though in reality that was Booth) fought over her.
So, is it good? I'm sorry it's so short, and that Bones barely appears, but I kind of focused in this part of the episode because I thought it was funny! Please review!
