Through New Eyes

Amy passed by me, attempting to lure me in with her unusual charm. I sigh and look away from her as her complains and begs for my attention. I shake my head and tell her how much we don't belong. She attempts to change how I feel but never can. She only makes herself look worse in my eyes as she tries harder.

"Sonic!" she lunges at me, trying to kiss me.

Tempted to punch her, I simpily give her a gesture informing her of my discomfort.

Being the pesky girl she is, she ignores me and grabs me tighter.

No matter how hard that pest tries, we are NEVER meant to be. NEVER.

One week passes just as Amy has every day. Every day, I feel different. I feel as though I don't mind her anymore. I feel as though I like her. And I mean it in a werid way. In a...romantic way.

"Shadow!" she screams and clomps him. I remember when I was the one she jumped on, but this week, she's been going away, slowly, and drawing closer to Shadow. I feel like she doesn't like me any more. I feel as though she likes Shadow.

The bright landscape made me want spend it with Amy more. The pink sun kissed the blue ocean, calmly and without trouble. Though I hated water, I still thought the scenery was pretty. The mint smell in the air reminded me of Amy.

Amy still stood beside Shadow, hugging him and whispered how great he was, and how much she thought I was never meant to be with her. NEVER.

I moaned. Is this how Amy felt when I gave Sally all my affection and ignored her? Even worse, is this how she felt when I told her we were never meant to be?

I wiped a tear from my eye. I didn't know why everything changed. Somehow, I wish it never did.

"SONIC!" a voice chriped. I spun around, hoping Amy came back, but instead it was Sally, who recently began to annoy me.

"Why are you crying?" she attempted to comfort me.

I turned away from her and gazed at Amy.

"Why are you looking at me?" she spat, "Get away from me!"

Shadow rushed in front of me, "Are you hurting my girl?"

"No. I'm not!" I explained, "I'm just desiring to tell Ms. Rose something..."

"Fine," Shadow barked.

"What is it?" Amy stared at me.

"Before I go..." her eyes met mine as it pained me to prepare to say the last few words, "I wanted to tell you that I love you."

Amy's jaw dropped. Her eyes grew full of surprize.

"You...you mean it?" she stuttered.

Shadow growled, "Stop playing with her emotions, jerk!"

Shadow grabbed me and attempted to throw me into the ocean. Amy shrieked.

"Amy?"

"Shadow, you can kill Sonic after I tell him," tears covered her eye lids as Shadow pulled a gun on me, "that I love him!"

The bullet pierced my chest.
