Long ago the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years past and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar... an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world.
Book Three: Fire
Prologue: Recap on what's happenin'
It had been nine days since Azula's attack on Ba Sing Se and Aang had been almost killed in the battle with her. Since then I have been focusing all my attention on getting him healthy again... but that's not an easy task. Sometimes Toph and Sokka try to get me to leave him to do something to get my mind off him for a minute, and although I really appreciate them doing that, I just can't leave him. What if something were to happen wjile I'm gone? What if he wakes up and needs help? Tempers have been frayed lately. Mostly mine because of lack of sleep. I know it's wroong to take it out on the rest of the GAang, but I can't help it.
Sometimes Aang murmers things in his deep sleep. Like once I heard him say my name and "Let go". Mostly he just lays there. Life around our makeshift camps has been... well... lifeless. Aang always knew what to say to lighten the mood but now he can't.
We are heading to the Water Tribe fleet to help with the Invasion Plan. We are still planning to invade the Fire Nation, but now we're goingt o have to revise it with the fall of Ba Sing Se. It's goingt to be great to see dad again, but I still can't help having that feeling of betrayal. I know why he had to leave and I 've accepted what he had to do, so why do I still feel like this? Aang would know the answer I"m sure, but he has enough problems as it is.
The Day of Black Sunis arrivng quickly and Aang doesn't have much more time to learn firebending, even if he does heal really quickly, he still has no master to teach him. But I know he can do it. After all he is the Avatar.
