"Let me drown in misery
The taste is bittersweet
Won't you let me fall into the dark hole
Of my hollow heart?"
The curtain was slowly going up, in it's sleek blood red color, while the empty crowd waited with silent anticipation for the new star on the old stage of melancholy.
"Alice ended up lost
The Cheshire never grinned
The mad hatter spilled his tea
The red queen always won."
Arthur looked up, dull inside.
"Won't you listen
Will you not hear?"
He paused.
"DON't YOU DARE SAY THAT YOU CARE!
THIS HAPPINESS WILL ONLY CUT UP MY INDIFFERENT HEART
YOUR A MONSTER
I'M A MONSTER
LET US DROWN IN THIS HEATED RAIN OF EMOTION!"
A broken band starts up a chaotic rant, which changes the atmosphere automatically into an overdose of awesome proportion.
"I am not a fool
I see clearly through these unfocused eyes
The truth is buried
I have a shovel, with all our names on it!
Serenity!
You wound me.
OLD FRIEND!"
He stared ahead, holding humanity's stare.
"Wasn't it I, who pulled the trigger first."
Again the music strung through, ending the struggle of holding back.
"Won't you let me drown in my own sorrow
Won't you let this pain become my savior!
Do me a favor, and leave
Before the wave pulls us both in
I couldn't bare the thought
Of both of us in the dark."
The scene changes, as there is no theater to play at. No audience, Nothing. Only but darkness.
Arthur is on his knees, done, with only the rhythm of his heart to keep him a float from the abyss below.
"Can't you see
I've lost
There's no turning back
Let me drown in misery."
A piano drifts . . . it goes blank.
"Dude, what the heck was that?"
"My new album, like it?"
" . . . no."
"Great."
Arthur called up his director.
"He loves it. Will start covers next week."
Alfred, the new kid on the block looked at his new partner for the next week, with only one thought in mind.
Can I shed a little light, on this grumpy petunia of darkness?
