Edward Elric could not believe his ears. No, he refused to believe his ears. Magic could not exist! If it did, it would have to be able to somehow bypass the Law of Equivalent Exchange, and that would be impossible. There was no way.
"Anyway," Mustang continued, "they want an Alchemist skilled in combat to teach a course on alchemy. I'm sending you."
"What?! Why the fu** would you-"
"I'd hurry if I were you, Fullmetal. You're running a little short on time."
"You damn bast***! Why the fu** would you make a shi*** decision like that for me?! (and so on in a similar tune)"
*I am a line break*
Ed made a face. Sure, the castle was impressive, but there were ghosts everywhere, paintings that talked on the walls, and that thing they called Transfiguration (read: Transmutation that defies Equivalent Exchange). McGonagall had been giving him a demonstration- mind you, had been. He left when she started using animals.
Then, when he'd had his meeting with the headmaster, the guy told him about Harry Potter, and how the kid was part of the reason he was here, and something from the Potter kid's First Year about the Dark Lord and the Philosopher's Stone-
Ed sat bolt upright and after panicking for a minute, realized it was just a dream and sighed in relief. He knew there was no way.
Al poked his head in. "Brother, Mustang wants to see you."
*I am a line break*
"Here's the deal, Fullmetal. We got a request from a school for magic-"
"NOOOOO! DAMN YOU MUSTANG!"
