Requested by Ismaelandluigi21. Enjoy!:)

I don't own WordGirl or any characters on the show.

The energy monster was roaming through the city, eating any energy he could find. WordGirl was trailing behind.

"There's got to be something we can do to stop him! If we can't soon, he'll be virtually unstoppable!"

"Eeep-ep!"

"Not bad. It could work. Huggy, now!"

At her signal, Huggy jumped onto an electrical tower, waiting for further instructions.

While WordGirl was conducting her plan, the energy monster had time for one more stop…

The show was in full-swing. Bo Handsome had just asked his three contestants—Phil, Tommy, and Emily—to define the word "confused."

"Any guesses?" Bo asked, microphone in hand.

Emily was just about to press her button when the lights began to flicker. They continued to flicker until the room turned black as night.

"What—what happened?" Tommy asked.

"I-I don't like the dark." Phil added.

"What's going on here? Nothing like this has ever happened before." Bo pondered.

Murmurs from the crowd began to emerge.

"Um, excuse me, Mr. Handsome? May I define the word, please?" Emily asked politely.

"Sure, Emily. Go ahead."

"Confused means an incomplete understanding of something; baffled. For example, everyone is confused because of the sudden power outage."

"You are correct, Emily. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, we are unable to award you with a prize today." Bo admitted sadly.

"That's okay. There's always next time." Emily replied, disappointed.

All of a sudden, the lights flickered back on, WordGirl flying in soon after with a much smaller energy monster in a glass jar.

"WordGirl! Great to see you!" Bo greeted.

"You too, Bo." WordGirl replied. "Everyone okay in here?"

"WordGirl! I'm Tommy, your biggest fan!" Tommy called from the stage.

WordGirl turned around, smiling. "Hi, Tommy. How are you?"

"WordGirl, what caused the power outage?" an audience member asked, confused.

WordGirl pointed to the energy monster. "This guy right here was stealing all the power. Luckily, Huggy and I stopped him before he could do any more damage."

"Eeep!" Huggy chirped.

"Thank you, WordGirl. Your help is greatly appreciated." Bo added.

"Just doing my job. Word up!" WordGirl shouted as she flew out of the studio.

There was a brief silence. Bo was the first to speak.

"Well, that about wraps it up, don't you think? See you next time on—"

"May I Have A Word?"

What'd you think? Happy reading!
