A N: Hi guys, just a little one shot about the anime and manga Death Note. Enjoy!

'Hello'
'Hi Light, it's your mother, I won't be able to pick you up from school today so you'll have to walk. Sorry.' Exclaimed Yagami-chan. Light came to the conclusion that his mother had forgotten to do something at work and had todrive back to finish it.
'It's alright,' Light said, 'I don't mind walking'. Yagami-chan thanked him and ended the call.
Light set off on his walk home. The quickest way home was to pass through an alley way about ten minutes away from the school. When he got to the alley he was presented with an old and battered looking black book. The cover read 'Death Note' in bold. Light wouldn't usually pick up old, abandoned items from the ground unless he knew whose it was. But, the title of this 'book' interested him.
Light was expecting a contents page or a 'This book belongs to...' but he got neither. Instead he was presented with some instructions. He read them;
'The human whose name is written in this note shall die' Whoa. What kind of book is this?! Light carried on...
This note will not take effect unless the writer has the persons face in their mind...
If the cause of death is written within the next 40 seconds of writing the person's name...
If the cause of death is not specified... heart attack
After writing the cause of death... 6 minutes and 40 seconds'
Reading the 'instructions' made Light feel sick to the pit of his stomach. He knew that what was written in the book cannot be true because people can't die because their name is written in some 'book'. However, no matter how much Light believed that the book was a fake, he did not want to test it out. Just in case someone did die. Instead Light put the book back where he found it and carried on walking.
Just as Light was able to see his house he saw a monster. A flying monster. Something that his mind cannot comprehend; a beast! So grotesque it should be called the God of all things beastly. It's piercing red eyes with clothes so black anything would look like sunshine against it. It's wearing a belt with accessories hanging off it and on its hands. Its skin looks so pale against its black clothes and those red eyes...
'The names Ryuk,' the thing speaks!, 'I'm a Shinigami.' Light couldn't move, couldn't speak, and couldn't think. He was paralyzed with shock and fear. 'From the look on your shocked human face I guess you haven't read all of the instructions in my Death Note. Let me read the one you obviously didn't read:
'The human who touches the Death Note can recognize the image and voice of its original owner, a Shinigami, even if the human is not the owner of the note.'
'Unless you have forgotten, you did touch the note'
'Uhh... uhh' was all Light could say before he ran home.
For a long time no one believed Light Yagami when he exclaims that the saw the God of Death and heard the God of Death speak. That is until a person called L contacted him referencing to the Kira case...
