"Mmm!" She felt…soft as a pillow. He buried his face in her hair and pulled her closer, skin against skin. It had been a long time… so…very long…he had almost forgotten. Forgotten how pleasurable an embrace could be.

Laying his cheek against the top of her head, he greedily consumed the vibrations emanating from her body. The beating of her heart…the trembling…all good…there was nothing more seductive than a woman trembling with desire. He smiled as a gentle breath caressed his chest followed with a softly placed kiss. Yes…this is how he remembered a woman's embrace. Rolling onto his elbows, he wrapped himself more tightly around her, his manhood springing to life. Now, totally consumed, the words came freely. "I love…"

"Colonel Hogan?"

"Shh," he whispered softly, still lost in the moment.

"Colonel?"

Hogan, his heart racing, shuddered and he opened his eyes. The voluptuous woman in his arms melted into his pillow without a word. The warmth he had felt faded, and was replaced with the coldness of reality, as his dream dissolved and his hands grasped at the bare mattress.

Swallowing his awareness, he dropped face first on his bunk and exhaled before answering. "Yes, Carter, what is it?

"Roll call, Colonel!" Carter answered, before again closing the door and leaving Hogan alone…in the dark
