"Remember me, Doctor. The girl who fought the Daleks."

"Oh, I'm going to do more than remember you," the Doctor said. "I'm going to save you."

Before Oswin could ask what he meant, the entire ship lurched. Oswin grabbed her chair's armrests for stability. Shelves rattled and dishes dropped from the cupboards. "Doctor!" she shouted. "What are you doing!"

The Doctor's face came into view. He was grinning broadly. "Saving you!"

This regeneration was marvelously strong. Obnoxiously whimsical and a little misogynistic, but really rather strong. It wasn't that difficult to sonic the chain open and tie it around Oswin (he refused to think of her as "the Dalek.") Once she got rolling, she was easy to tow.

Amy felt relieved when she saw the Doctor, but she wasn't sure what to think when she saw him dragging a Dalek. "Doctor, we can't bring a Dalek home with us. What are you doing? You hate Daleks."

"Gaah!" Rory yelled. He tried to hide behind Amy.

"It's not a Dalek, it's a human in a Dalek suit. Now let me get this teleport working…"

Several Days Later:

"Well, Oswin? What do you think?"

Leaning forward, she peered at the viewscreen. The Doctor's camouflage-efforts had made an awful mess of the TARDIS interior, with bits of fuzz and googly eyes scattered everywhere; it wasn't her problem, though.

She turned her attention to her conveyance's reflection (her reflection, if you wanted to get really technical, but something inside her would probably break if she ever accepted it.)

Now, though, the reflection did not look like that of a Dalek. It looked like a small, large-eyed, stubby-limbed creature covered in orange fur.

"Oh, that's utterly adorable!"

"Glad you think so." He fiddled with the sonic. "I'm sending a bit of software to your computer. You'll be able to make Orange Fuzz-win's mouth and arms move, and there's a sequence that releases a stink bomb, another sequence that releases a cloud of vision-obscuring but nontoxic smoke, and-" A sequence of numbers appeared on Oswin's screen. "Type those. Go on."

She did. A large top hat unfolded itself from Orange Fuzz-win's head.

"See? It makes you wear a hat, because hats are cool." He patted Fuzzwin on the top hat. "Now you're ready to travel with me."

"Oh, I've always been ready, Doctor," Oswin said, conjuring up a joystick with a wave of her hand.

The Doctor- and his new companion, a fuzzy orange creature who was actually a Dalek who was actually human- strolled out of the TARDIS.
