Ok, this is my first story/one-shot/ficlet/whatever you call it, so if it isn't amazing, please don't destroy me. K, thanks. Just to avoid confusion, the 'clack' noise is the light being turned off, the click is it being turned on. To me it always seems like lamps make a 'clack' noise when they're turned off, but a 'click' noise when they're turned on... I don't know, I might just be insane. Anyway, on to the story!

Disclaimer: I do not own KND... the show, nor those three letters of the alphabet.

Clack.

"Wally!" Kuki hissed from on top of her bed.

"What?" Wally whined beneath his covers, a couple feet away.

"I'm trying to read! You made me loose my spot!"

Click.

...

Clack.

"Ugh, you did it again!"

"And?" Wally Mumbled.

"Wally, I need to read this!" Kuki was talking louder now.

Click.

"grr..." Wally growled and sat up from his comfortable position on the bed. "Well I need to get some cruddy sleep!"

Clack.

"I need that light to be on!"

Click.

"Well I need the stupid thing to be off, so-"

Clack.

"too bad."

"Wally! That's not fair!"

"Hey, it's not my fault this room only has one stinking lamp in it!"

Click.

"Kuki!"

"Just stick your head under the covers, numbuh 4!"

"Why don't you just read in the dark?"

Clack.

"I can't! I'm not a cat, in case you didn't notice!" By now Kuki's voice had reached levels that would be considered loud at any time of day.

Click.

"That's not my problem!"

Clack.

"Ugh! You can be so annoying sometimes!"

Click.

"I just wanna sleep!" Wally shouted.

Clack.

"Well I just want to read!" Kuki retorted, just as loudly.

Click.

Completely frustrated, Wally's hand shot towards the switch with the intent of turning it off yet again, but after a moment of shock, he recoiled just as quickly when he felt someone else's hand already there. Wally hoped that in the dim light that was now constantly filling the hotel room, Kuki wouldn't be able to see him blushing.

"Uhm, a-actually, n-numbuh 3, you can keep the lamp on... if you want to." Wally mumbled, but Kuki just eyed him for a brief minute.

"...Nah, I'm gonna turn it off, you look like you need the sleep." She said, smiling.

"eh, what do you mean?" Wally could feel sweat beginning to form on his forehead.

"You look like you're getting a fever." Now Kuki was just grinning.

"Oh." Wally silently cursed himself for not being able to keep his cool. It was just a little touch, after all.

Clack.

"Don't you have to read though?"

"I can just do it tomorrow."

"You sure? ...I can stay up a little later if-"

"Go to bed, silly!" Kuki chirped.

"Ok..." Wally smiled and laid back down on his bed. "Kooks?"

"Yes, Wally?"

"Um, thanks."

Kuki giggled. "Goodnight Wally."

"Night, Kuki."

Sooooooooooo... What did you think? Again, it's my first story, so it's not perfect... or nearly perfect... or somewhat perfect... or even close to perfect... but I like it! I had fun with this idea. I just wanted to do something with a bit of Wally&Kuki fluff to it, and one that was mostly dialog.

Now, I want a review with everything! Likes, dislikes, opinions, advice, comments, ramblings, anecdotes, randomness, and whatever else you feel like putting in there! In fact, if you thought of anything at all while reading this, it's to late to undo that, so you might as well say what it was! :D
