A/N: this is like the most ownage sequel to Numb. It's so much better cos I, the most ownage Ji Hyun, wrote it. hehs. But annoyingly, I wrote it in second person at first. So I had to change everything to third person. The cool, eerie feeling I wanted died. Nevermind~ It's still better than Nikki's xD Anyways, this can also be read on it's own. Oh, please do feed us with LOADS AND LOADS OF REVIEWS cos we like reviews. :P Enjoy(:

Pairing: Perfect Pair, ie TEFU

Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis or the characters. Although I would love to have all my top ten chars. :P I'm greedy, I know.

Fuji Shuusuke was plummeting down into the sea below when he suddenly felt hard ground below his feet. He glanced around, confused.

He was standing on a rocky cliff. He looked down and saw two figures on the sand dunes. He watched the sunrise slowly dying the sea blood red and he became conscious of the tears that had escaped from his eyes without his knowledge.

He remembered the time when he had been one of the two figures, watching the sunrise at the seaside. At that time, he had been sitting on this very cliff, feeling the warmth of Tezuka's body against his.

"Kunimitsu…" he whispered.

Painful memories crashed into his like a tsunami, an unstoppable force. The scenery whirled around him and he suddenly found himself in another setting. It was late morning and he sensed that he had travelled in time.

Across the road, he saw a couple, a mature looking boy with bronze hair and a smiling, short brown haired boy. He looked more closely and realize that the smiling boy was actually him. And the other one? The boy was his other half, his soul mate. He tried to look away, but his body refused to listen to him. He watched the scene, tears blurring his eyes. He heard the screech of the tires and his own desperate scream. He gazed at himself holding the boy, watching the life seep out of the boy's body. Tezuka never kept that promise of going to the beach together, playing in the sea.

He was sucked into another whirlpool and landed on a sandy beach. The sun was straight above his head, indicating that it was midday.

Everywhere around him, people were mourning. Mourning about Tezuka's death. He knew Tezuka would be happy about the arrangements as the boy had always loved the sea and everything about it. As he slowly waded into the sea, he made a silent prayer, wishing to meet Tezuka again after his death. Waves of sadness took away all the grains of hope in his heart, as waves take away sand.

He had already gotten used to the disorienting feeling of time travelling and managed to take in the view faster than before. He was back at the cliff, but this time, it was sunset. He saw a boy standing dangerously close to the cliff, looking down at the tumultuous sea below. He realized with a jolt that it was himself. He had been thinking about how his mind had always been like the sea after Tezuka's death, in constant turmoil, unable to stabilize.

He walked up to the edge of the cliff, standing side by side. He glared at the waves, crashing the jagged rock face below, breaking it down, bit by bit. His heart felt like that very rock, disintegrated by the sea of pain you were drowning in.

He didn't bother stopping the stream of tears that was flowing into the sea. He glanced over and saw that the final decision has been made.

He watched himself smiling a painful smile, muttering about how the sea is ever changing, never constant like his own life. It was ironic that he would make his last change at the sea.

"Kunimitsu, it's time we met again. I missed you too much." He heard himself muttering, as he breathed in the salty sea breeze.

He took a step into thin air, falling into the turbulent waves below, letting the sea engulf him. He knew he would not need to worry about changes anymore. He was safe.
