Chapter 3: Tanya sees it all

Tanya ran through the woods, tears flying out of her eyes.

"I have to tell my parents and Spottedstar!" She thought desperately. She ran into Thunderclan camp, dodging cats as fast as she could. Tanya spotted Nighthawk, her father and deputy, sitting with Vine, Tanya, Sky, and Shadow's mother and Thunderclan medicine cat. She yowled their names, catching the attention of any cat close.

"Nighthawk, Vine, Sky was just captured by Shadowclan! I saw it all happen, but I couldn't do anything! I know where she is, but she's in the heart of Shadowclan camp!" Tanya told her parents and the whole camp (who were sitting around her, listening) in a single breathe. Spottedstar arranged for most warriors to go, including Liena, Stonetail, and Tanya.

"Alright everyone, listen up! Here is the plan, and I will only say it once! Nighthawk will lead about half of you into the camp, while I will lead the other half to the back of the camp where we will ambush Shadowclan from behind! Tanya, YOU will lead Stonetail and Liena over to where Sky is trapped. Accompanied of course by your mentors. Everyone understand? Good, now MOVE OUT!" Spottedstar practically shouted the last two words at the group of around twenty-five warriors.

A while later, Tanya and her friends, with Storm, Greyclaw, and Shadow, snuck carefully around the massive battle to Shadowclan's cages.

"Sky?!" Tanya whispered into each cage until a small, weak voice answered.

"Tanya… Let me out. I-I'm weakened by what Darkstar was doing to me. That device in the middle of camp, it holds a live cat down while others can harm it anyway they want without struggle. I…"

Sky didn't finish because at that point she collapsed from pain and lay vainly twitching on the sloped floor. Tanya cried out in surprise and grabbed her sister from the cell and dragged her by the scruff into the clearing. The entire group gasped in horror at Sky's body. It was covered in scars and dried blood. But the worst of all was on her left side. The fur and skin was removed and only her bone and some bloody flesh and muscle. Tanya's eyes widened in horror.

"Th-there have been stories of this, but I never expected it to be true!" Storm, stared at Sky, his eyes watering up.

"Wh-what's wrong, well, besides the obvious?" Tanya asked.

"Tanya, Sky is going to die, very, very soon."

"WHAT! Why?"

"Because, Sky has been turned in to a lich cat, a cat that has evil growing on their body and eventuallys kills the host cat. I'm sorry there is nothing we can do."

Tanya looked at her sister, only minutes younger than her, and knew that this was her fault.
