A/N: Written for Melody because it's her birthday and I love writing things for other people :)
FYI, in my world George married Katie, so Fred has a twin brother named Jake and little sister named Leanne. Colleen Finnigan is Seamus and Lavender's daughter.

It's one of those stupid, crazy teenage romances that they think will last forever. He's 16 and she's 15 and they waste the whole school year snogging in broom cupboards and empty classrooms and sneaking into the Forbidden Forest and playing the usual pranks that FredandJakeandJames play.
And why? 'Cause they're in love, baby.
Fred has long decided that Colleen is the most amazing girl ever. She's got forest-green eyes and blonde curls and freckles all over her cheeks and nose and a pretty, lilting Irish accent. She's funny, cute, kissable. She gets along fantastically with his friends, Jake and James and Ruby Jordan and Cedric Wood. She's spontaneous and sexy and really, what else could he want?
Colleen has been in love with Fred for years and she's got so many reasons. He's handsome, with sky-blue eyes and red-gold hair, and hilarious and so sweet to her, but not smothering, either. He makes her laugh at the stupidest things. He's so fun to be around and they're teenagers, all they want to do is have fun.
And, okay, no one approves. Jake and Ebony Thomas, Colleen's best friend, both scoff and say nauseating and disgusting (they just got over breaking up). Their parents and teacher's are upset in the decline in Colleen's grades (Fred's were never that good to begin with). But what else can you do? They usually spend the whole night kissing in a corridor or somewhere. There's not very much time for studying after that.
Still, it's wonderful to be in love. If they had their way, the school year woul go on forever, with them goofing off and making out and just being happy.
But all good things must come to an end and when summer comes, Fred goes back home to Somerset, in the south of England, and Colleen returns to the rolling green hills of Ireland.
And maybe this will last through the summer, maybe this will last forever, maybe this won't last at all, but who cares? They prefer to live in the moment.
