With my suitcase in hand and a familiar house in sight, I smiled. I hadn't seen this house or my cousins in years, but I was glad I decided to come. I knocked on the door for it to reveal a very shocked Aunt Jenna. "Aunt Jenna!" I engulfed her in a hug. "Zoe'? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at Lavender Moon?" I smiled at her. Jenna had always asked me a lot of questions when she first saw me. "I decide to come visit, and no I guess you can say I graduated. Can I stay here? I'm not intruding am I?" "No come in. You can stay in the second guest room," Jenna said as she led me inside, dragging my suitcase. I walked in to see a man sitting on the couch watching a paused movie. "Hello?" He jumped and ran his fingers through his hair. "Oh I forgot! Alaric this is my niece Zoe'," Jenna introduced. "Oh um Jenna could I talk to you in the kitchen for a minute?" "Oh yeah. I will be there in a minute." I grabbed my suitcase and trudged into the kitchen. "Ooh Jenna has a man." "Oh shut up. Do you need any help?" "No I got it. Go spend some time with your man," I told Jenna while I quietly walked up the stairs.
As I walked down the hall, I spotted Jeremy. "Hi Jeremy," I greeted as he walked past me to shut the door to his room. "Bye Jeremy." I was starting to continue down the hallway, when I heard," Zoe'?" I turned around to see Jeremy's head poking out of his room. "The one and only." "Hey it's nice to see you. What are you doing here?" He asked with a smile. "What? Your cousin can't come visit just to say hi?" Jeremy held his hands in a surrender signal and gave me a hug before saying goodnight.
I finally got settled in my room and was heading to Elena's room to say hey when I heard heavy footsteps on the other side of her door. I flung open the door to find a boy. I instantly recognized his scent to be a vampire and flung him against the wall with a flick of my wrist. "Alright Vampire you got ten seconds to explain why you are here before I kill you." He opened his mouth when Elena walked in shocked. "Zoe' what are you doing?" "What am I doing? Elena do you realize that you had a vampire in your room that could kill you?" Elena walked over to the wall and tried to pull the vampire off but failed. "Zoe' let him go. His name is Stefan and he is my boyfriend." I dropped Stefan and looked at Elena. "Who are you?" Stefan asked breathlessly. "I'm Zoe', Elena's cousin. Elena you have a lot of explaining to do."
