After obsessively watching Gravity Falls for the past few weeks, I was inspired to write a little poem based on one of the shows BEST characters. (They're all magical, but I have a soft spot for the "Triangle guy.")
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
Shapes and shadows and eyes in the trees
Whispering voices in the air, in the leaves
Echoes on the breeze
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
Grasping, rasping, spinning, falling
Crying, screaming, bleeding, dying
Laughter on laughter without a joke
What's so funny?
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
Turn around and see what is not there
Never blink, never rest, never dare, never dare
Stare and take care
Always watching, he is there
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
No sleep for the weary
No peaceful night's dreams
Always dark, dark, dark and filled with screams
Screams, screams, screams
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
Nightmares and nightmares and nightmares more
Shaken, shaken, shaken to the core
Cold blood and sweat, tears fall to the floor
Escape while you can! Where's the door?
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
Where is he?
He's here
Everywhere
Over there
Far and near
He's watching me
I hear him
No!
It's my imagination
He's watching me
Watching, watching, watching. Always watching.
