It's been a long time since I updated my stories and I'm truly sorry. I've been working on them and this story just came to me. It's based on a true story, myself actually so it's a little personal but I "fluffed" it up a little to make it more like a story. From the day I met him, I knew what he had would be infinite. We were infinite. There was a spark that I've never felt before. I remember feeling light and carefree, a feeling I haven't felt in years. I could be myself around him and he didn't judge, he just accepted me for who I was, flaws and all. I think somewhere along the way between getting to know each other and our late night conversations, I fell in love with him.
I've been hurt in the past so I had a wall surrounding my heart and pretended I was fine with sarcastic jokes and a smile on my face all the time but then he came along and all of a sudden, it was as if my walls just disappeared. But I know, he had unknowingly knocked all of them down.
When he put his arms around me, it was like nothing else in the world mattered anymore, it's just us. All the little moments we had, I will always cherish them but they will be another reason to guard my heart and keep it locked up.
Because he had a girlfriend. And I didn't know until it was too late
