Prologue
A slender blonde woman knelt down onto the ground, a shining photograph in her hand.
"Here, you keep this," she handed the paper to a little girl sitting on the hardwood floor.
The child forced back sobs as she pleaded, "But I want you to have it."
"I'm sorry sweetie, but I can't take it with me." The woman stood up and walked to a pink-haired woman across the room.
The little girl whispered to herself, "But I want mommy to always remember me, so she'll come home sooner." She looked up at the two women conversing and trailed her blue eyes to a small, brown pouch at her left. "I just want mommy to think about me."
She turned her eyes back to the photo in her hands, where they were met with two smiling faces; one of the beautiful blonde woman and one of a little blonde girl resembling her. She then quickly slid the picture into the small pouch and nervously glanced back at the women. Had they noticed her swift movements? The two women began walking towards the child, oblivious to what had just taken place. The slender blonde picked up the pouch and the other woman picked up the little girl.
"Bye mommy," the girl stared sadly at the blonde woman, who, in return, kissed her on the forehead.
Separating from the kiss, the woman gently said, "Bye sweetie. I'll be back home soon."
The sun glowed heavily; creating a halo of light around the woman walking through the large gate. To the girl, the now distant figure resembled an angel. A tear trailed down the small child's face as blue and sad as her eyes. The comforting voice of her mother continued to echo in her head, 'I'll be back home soon.'
She lied.
AN: Oh my god I actually uploaded something. O_O This, my dear friends is the prologue to a new story of mine that I hope to actually be able to finish. I understand how some might find this prologue confusing, but do not fret, for everything shall be explained in the chapter(s) to come. I hope to get the first chapter up soon, so be on the lookout! ^_^
