Give me a reason to believe that you're gone I see your shadow so I know they're all wrong Moonlight on the soft brown earth It leads me to where you lay They took you away from be but now I'm taking you home

All was silent, the souls of those who dwelled beneath the dirt of an old cemetary were at peace, and the souls that weren't had migrated to another section. There was something in the air, something that left a sour taste in the mouth. It was the scent of death, and it rolled in waves off a lone figure that stood, pale features illuminated by the moonlight.

The Shaman tournament would soon start, and it had lead Faust VIII to seek solace in an abandoned graveyard, but what he found was nothing more than a sense of nostalgia, leaving an empty pit in the center of his chest. The necromancer lifted a lanky arm, the one his beloved hung to, peering down at the skelleton with saddened eyes.

His Eliza stared back at him with a blackened and crack skull, worn bones clunking against one another in the soft breeze weaving between the tombstones.

I will stay forever here with you My love The softly spoken words you gave me Even in death our love goes on

A light smile formed on dark lips; Faust raised his other hand, tracing gloved fingertips against the cheekbone of the skull, his thoughts traveling back to a time when flesh and bone were one, back to a time when his dear, sweet Eliza was alive. Back to when he was alive. Those shy smiles, a tentive brush of hands, a whispered confession, an excited exclimation of love. Those summer days he and his angel spent together, laughing, loving, crying. Those precious times, watching over his beloved, being with her, holding her. Then the day where he lost his heart, the day he lost her. She was taken violently, without preamble. That day, that terrible day.

He had lost her, but he would take her back. He would bring her back, and they would share those precious days once again. That fateful day would come, when he and Eliza would be reunited.

Some say I'm crazy for my love, oh my love But no bonds can hold me from your side, oh my love They don't know you can't leave me They don't hear you singing to me

He was at a loss. He couldn't bring her back, not completely. He studied book upon book, looking through his ancestor's notes, trying to find a way. But none were given. He couldn't bring his beloved back through necromancy. Yet, while he researched, he had found something peculiar. Shaman. The Shaman Tournament, Shaman King. Yes.

I will stay forever here with you My love The softly spoken words you gave me Even in death our love goes

And I can't love you anymore than I do

If he became the Shaman King, he could bring Eliza back. She would live again, and he would have his heart returned. So, he trained. In the ways of the shaman, and in the ways of necromancy. With his power, he couldn't lose. Wouldn't.

I will stay forever here with you My love The softly spoken words you gave me Even in death our love goes

And I can't love you anymore than I do

As the wind blew, a quiet chuckled resounded from the silence. Faust VIII, shaman, necromancer, laughed delightedly to himself as he tucked Eliza back beneath his jacket, tugging the brim of his hat down, a delicate but dangerous smirk upon his face.

"Asukura Yoh awaits us, my beloved. We shan't keep him waiting.."

I will die, but real love is forever...
