Three Letters

Disclaimer: Unfortunately for me, I did not pen the Harry Potter books, nor was I the creator of ABBA or Mamma Mia. I'm just "borrowing" them and meshing them together. All works belong to Ms. Rowling and ABBA.

A/N: This story is heavily based on my favorite musical Mamma Mia. If you haven't seen it, you honestly should because it is a great play and has some rockin' tunes. So if you don't like this story, don't come whining to me, because I already warned you.

The wind blew at a distance, making the blue ocean water lap onto the shore softly. The sun was just rising on this fine morning as the sun illuminated a large rock sitting by a mailbox.

Sitting on top of the rock, was a young woman in her late teens to early twenties, the wind toying with her red hair as her blue eyes reflected the ocean nearby. In her hands, were three envelopes, addressed to three different people. She held these letters close to her, as if they were her life force and she knew her entire future rested in those letters. Sighing, she ran a finger along the names on the envelopes and hoped that she was doing the right thing.

Raising her head, she softly started to sing:

I have a dream.

A song to sing.

To help me cope, with anything.

If you seen the wonder

Of a fairy tale. You can take the future--

She looked down at the letters again, biting her lip nervously.

Even if you fail.

Hopping off the rock, she slowly walked to the mailbox, biting her lip anxiously, the letters held close to her breast.

Releasing her baited breath, she slowly picked the first envelope.

"Harry Potter." She murmerred, dropping the first letter into the mailbox. "Neville Longbottom." The second one followed the first into the mailbox. Now, she had one left. Looking up, she slid the third one in.

"And Michael Corner." She had no more envelopes. The deed was done. Clasping her hands behind her back, she started to walk away, but not before whispering.

"Good luck."

Yes, I know. Ridiculously short but if you hear the song from the record, its only fifty-three seconds so yeah. The next chapter should be quite longer.

Reviews would be appreciated.
