Contrary to popular belief, ninjas do not get up early. They prefer to get all the rest they can in order to start the day on a good level. Well, this is what Abyo told Chang when he arrived 5 minutes late to the first day of school. He found it fairly stupid for him to be going to school anyway; especially when he could be training. Chang rolled his eyes and pointed over to a seat next to Garu, who just happened to be Abyo's best friend. He ran happily over to the desk as Chang cleared his throat.

"Welcome everyone! I'm glad you all turned up. You are Group 3, the highest group in this school. In a short while, I'll tell you what classes you've been put in and who will be your tutor." Without another word, Chang left the room to get the register. Abyo let out a long sigh. "I hope I'm in the ninja class! It's the only class that would be beneficial, right Garu?" Garu nodded just as someone at the back of the classroom burst into laughter.

"What is it, Tobe?" Abyo asked as he turned round to see Tobe chuckling to himself in the far corner. "You really think you're going to get into the ninja class? It's for people who will succeed in ninja skills only. For example; me!" Abyo returned the harsh laughter. "Yeah, right. Me and Garu will be in the ninja class, you wait and see!" Before Tobe could reply, Chang came back in with a sheet of paper.

"Okay guys, your classes are as follows; Pucca? You will be studying poetry with Mr. Bruce. Ring Ring? You will also have Mr. Bruce but for lessons in fashion. Ssoso? You too, but for cultural studies. Dada? You are the last student to have Mr. Bruce and your subject is painting." Everyone who was mentioned seemed happy with their placements as they grinned and high-fived each other.

"The rest of you will be taught by me, Mr. Chang. Okay, Garu? You're doing athletics and Abyo, you're doing weight lifting." Chang had to stop talking as Tobe's laughter was cancelling out everything he said.

"Ninja skills, eh? Gosh, I hate to say it boys but I'm the one who has been chosen as the ninja in this school. Sorry, not sorry!" Both Abyo and Garu were too shocked to say anything. Was Tobe really chosen as the lead ninja in Sooga School? Sure, he was older but they were pretty sure they were better at fighting. Their questions were, however, short lived. "No, Tobe, you're wrong. You will be attending engineering lessons with me."

There was silence; right up until everyone burst into fits of giggling. "Hey, Tobe, I don't recall you saying you wanted to be an engineer instead of a ninja," Abyo said as he tried to stop himself from crying with laughter. Tobe ducked his head in embarrasment and mumbled angrily about the "utterly ridiculous" school. "And finally," Chang carried on. "Ching, you will be taking lessons on ninja skills."

Tobe and Abyo both stood up with rage. "What is this dishonour?" Tobe screamed at Chang, "Why her and not me?" Abyo pushed Tobe back into his seat. "Nevermind Tobe but what about me and Garu? We're amazing ninjas"

At this point, Ching got up too. "Hey! I'm an amazing ninja too! I mean, look who got picked! Me!" Abyo opened his mouth to reply but realised he had no argument. He sat back down in a rage as Ching and Pucca giggled over the boys' reactions.

"Settle down, everyone. Right, leave your bags here and follow me to the main hall. The headteacher has prepared an opening speech." Chang stood near the exit and once everyone left, he locked the door to the classroom.
