The Leife Knights, the older ones anyway, found themselves on a beautiful slab of ice in some weird cavern. They twirled and sang and dance. They were going to find their brides. Kei clumsily mumbled unsure of what he would do.
"Hey, Kei, you gotta girl?" Hayate queried throwing his encouraging arm around his pal. The other men perked up enthusiastically wanting to help their socially inept friend.
"Well you see, it's umm, not really…" Kei sobbed. They all roared with laughter.
"What about Himeno?" Goh shoved Kei towards the edge of their pathetic platform of ice.
"That's a great idea! Marry Himeno!" Hayate and Sasame both hollered. Then Kei's friends threw him into the freezing water to find his future wife.
Meanwhile, Himeno was with her girl-pals discussing the same matter on a different slab of ice in the middle of nowhere.
"Marriage is so romantic!" Mawata sighed hopelessly. "Love is so great!"
"Knock it off, love has nothing to do with it." Yayoi argued. Himeno thoughtfully watched her friends as Mayune asked her something.
"Himeno, you're running out of time, when will you choose one of your suitors? When will you know, how will you choose?" Mayune eagerly sought Himeno's stance on the matter.
"I will know when, Gwen, cause it's not the pebble, it's the penguin!" Himeno ripped of that lame movie with penguins and dove into freezing waters confidently.
As she swam around, questioning her own poor choice and fearing hypothermia, she approached none other but Kei, the Leife Knight of light. Realizing he was kind of cute, she tried show off her fabulous beauty. Himeno spun underwater and sang, well she tried. Singing underwater might be easy for penguins, but it's not so much for people.
Kei gaped at the strange behavior of the girl before him, wondering if she didn't know how to swim. Suddenly his friends yanked him out of the water, along with Himeno and threw them onto yet another piece of ice where all of the characters were now together.
"Do you take this loser?" The Leife Knights sang to Himeno. They started pushing Kei towards the girl they chose for him, who sat near the ladies.
"Now and forever." Himeno's friends sang. Himeno and Kei exchanged worried faces, wondering what might become of their lives thanks to their friends.
"Do you take this nobody?"
"I dooo." The ladies screeched melodically. After they were done singing they forced Kei and Himeno into a marriage they did not legally have the right to refuse.
With the close of the bizarre musical number came the outcast of the newly wedded couple. The rest of the cast watched as they launched Kei and Himeno in a small boat out into the large ocean.
"Don't you EVER come back until you prove to know you can survive off of nothing out there!" Sasame commanded. The others waved their torches and howled threats. Kei and Himeno drifted away alone.
"Well that sucked." Kei said.
"Yeah, oh well." Himeno replied. Then they saw the humor of the situation and laughed. They were free.
