"Stop smiling so much, it's distracting me." Gerry laughed as she continued to smile but in a more exaggerated way.
"I'm happy; this holiday is going to be great." Sandra laughed overwhelmed by the excitement she was feeling.
"Why did we come back to Gibraltar anyway?" Gerry asked picking now as they walked through the Gibraltan airport to ask the question.
"Last time we were here we were working, the island was gorgeous and a lovely temperature yet we were too busy working to do anything touritsty."
"I seem to remember it not just being work that occupied us." Gerry laughed and was joined by Sandra as they walked through the airport and past a little Euromillions stall.
"Well I'm sure that'll be a factor on this trip too." Sandra whispered suggestively.
The coats both of them were wearing were quickly shed as they stepped out of the airport and into the heat.
"Maybe out selection of clothes wasn't our best decisions." Sandra laughed as she wore a red long sleeved top, black skinny jeans, long boots and her jacket lay across her arm along with her oversized bag. Gerry wasn't much better as he wore a black shirt and black trousers.
"Well it was like 2 degrees at home, we'll change when we get to the hotel. Here if I'm going to have to carry your case then at least take my jacket, you could try and fit it in that massive bag of yours."
"My bag is full but here give me your coat, the taxi'll be here in a second anyway."
A taxi soon arrived and took them to their beach front hotel, which also had a great view of the rock, which last time they were here was the centre of their investigation. The hotel was large but gorgeous and modern looking, the reception had a massive water feature down one wall and the desk was almost crystal like.
Their room was also gorgeous with a king size bed, a TV and a balcony. The room itself had a purple and red stripy feature wall with the rest of the walls painted a cream colour. The balcony overlooked a golden beach with clear blue water with a series of deck chairs and a bar laid out, and if you turned your head you had a perfect view of the rock.
"Don't open the balcony!" Gerry warned her as she went to do just that.
"I want to enjoy the view!"
"But the monkey's will get in!"
