Leo was scared. It had been a week since Percy and Annabeth had been pulled into Tartarus and he was becoming more and more stressed.
"You okay?" Jason asked from the bed adjacent to his own. Everyone now had a roommate for safety reasons and Jason had instantly claimed Leo as his... his roommate that is.
"Sure." replied the small hispanic boy. He pushed a dark curl behind one caramel colored ear. Suddenly Leo felt the need to tell Jason everything.
"Actually, no I'm not. I'm terrified and stressed and I only get to sleep every-other-night and it's all my fault Percy and Annabeth are gone." Leo rambled as sobbs began to tear free from his small body.
"Leo...", Jason said before he walked the few steps to Leo's bed. He leaned down and cradled his shaking friend in those strong, swordsman, arms. Leo pushed his face into the older boy's chest and cried openly as he wrapped his scrawny arms around his protectors broad chest. Because that's what Jason was. He always made sure Leo was safe above all else.
"Jason, I-"
"Shhh, baby. Don't talk." Jason cooed into his hair. Leo couldn't get past the baby part."I'm here. Nothing can hurt you now." Jason continued quietly. And then he was singing, soft and low, in Leo's ear.
"I fell in love, next to you. Burning fires, in this room" Jason continued singing for some time and when he got to the chorus Leo joined in, his soft, lovely voice melting together with Jasons like caramel, which was light and sweet but decedent, and dark, smooth chocolate, as they both sang,
"There's a firefly, loose tonight. Better catch him 'fore he burns this place down. And I lie, If I don't feel so right. But the world looks better, through your eyes." they kept going and when the song was finished Leo giggled.
"Jay... Thank you." Leo planted his lips on the Roman boy's cheek. And somehow they next found their way to his mouth.
Jason cradled the back of his head gently and pulled him closer. Soon he felt a wet tongue prodding his lips, begging to enter. Leo opened his mouth without hesitation. He felt so small wrapped in Jason's arms but he also felt so safe.
"Jason..." The little mechanic said as he felt his own kiss swollen lips with his burning hot finger-tips"
"Hush little firefly. I know. I love you too." Jason layed down and that's how they slept. Wrapped in eachothers arms with Jason breathing in the scent of green apples and motor oil and the faintest hint of tabasco sauce that defined his little repair boy. And he loved every second of it.
