Blast From The Past To Adventure

And So It Begins...

All day staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep

Hey, there, my name is Akane Haruno, I'm only eleven years old and I was forced to come to camp with my bushy haired neighbor, who is sleeping on the branch above me.

I'm a girl who listens to rock and indie music, I also played sport, which is soccer and basketball and I'm a bookworm, which I'm reading a book that relates to an anime called Trinity Blood, very interesting.

Today happen to be your ordinary day, the sun is shining with clear blue sky and kids are playing around when all of the sudden, a snowflake landed on my Mp3 player. I look up and there's couple more falling and I'm pretty sure couple of kids notice this, including my neighbor.

His name is Taichi Kamiya, but he prefers to be called as Tai. He's the goggle-head and no matter how many times I told him to cut his hair, he never does. Then, my soccer teammate, Sora also noticing the snow falling. Me and her rarely talk except we have to work together whenever we have a soccer game back in school.

Another kid is Yamato, like Tai, he likes to be called as Matt. You can say that he's one of those who would become a lonewolf of the group and I'm pretty sure all the girls in school would fall for him like crazy since Mr. Cool.

Izzy also notice the snow falling since he's the one who spend most of his time on his laptop. He seem like a sweet kid and very smart, too. Then, there's other girl, ugh, don't get me started with her. Her name is Mimi, you can guess what's her favorite color since she's the most girly one.

The youngest member is TK, Matt's adorable little brother. I rarely talk to him since he's busy playing with his other friends in camp, he also seem sweet with his cute big blue eyes of his. And then, the oldest member, Joe.

That guy get scared of anything, he'll probably wet himself if you did. Anyway, once the snow continue falling, out of nowhere, we started to get a blizzard, so everyone was rush inside, including the eight of us head into a small hut. After that, the snow stopped when Tai opened the door and we gotten surprised.

The whole place is completely cover with snow. Look like the canoe race is cancelled.

"So, let's have toboggan race, instead." He went out ahead, then TK went out, saying he wants to build a snowman with Matt behind him as I came out with my sweater on. I whistle.

"I knew global warming was bad," I said to no one. "But, I never suspected to be this bad." I watched Sora came out and join with the boys, so did Joe and Mimi while I stayed out of the way and continue listening to my player. I notice Izzy isn't outside with us when I look inside and saw him is playing his laptop, trying to get internet when I've felt something wet on the back of my head,

"AH!" I look over and saw it was Tai and Matt, seeing them laughing when I glare at their direction. Not until I saw a rainbow light in the sky. "Whoa, is that an Aurora?" I went over to my neighbor when everyone saw it and chatting about it when Tai called Izzy to come out.

"It's beautiful, magical, even." I hear Mimi since I don't have my music so loud.

"Yeah, what is it?" Izzy asked.

"It's the Aurora Borealis," Like I said, I'm a bookworm, I also read astronomy. "You can only see one of these up north, we're way far too south."

"Tell that to the snow." I heard Sora while I shrug and press play on my player, but all of the sudden, my headphones shock me.

"Ow!" I dropped them to the snow and see if my ears are bleeding. "What in the world?"

"Hey, what's that?" I look up at the sky and saw the light began to change, then something start shooting right at us.

"Take cover!" Couple of explosion of snow began and covering us. Once it stopped, I look up and I notice Tai held me close to him when I met his light brown eyes.

"You okay, Akane?" The two of us stood up.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I look over at everyone else. "How about you guys?"

"We're still here." Matt said.

"That was scary." Mimi said while she's clutching her hat.

"Wh-what was that?" Joe gotten scared when he asked.

"Meteors?" Tai and I watched Izzy crawled over to a hole when a light appeared from underneath the snow. There's two in front of me and Tai when something started to come out that made us, including everyone to catch it. Whatever it is.

"What are these?" Sora asked.

"My guess is some sort of digital remote apparatus." Izzy said when I saw it was a little white device with a black screen and making the high pitch noise.

"No instructions?" I heard Matt when all of the sudden, I hear waves coming when I look up and then...

"Forget that, surf's up!" A tidal wave came out of nowhere and it washes us away from camp before we blacked out.

Normal POV

"Is she okay?"

"Hey, Akane, can you hear us?" Akane slowly began to open her eyes, seeing two dark figures hovering over her as she get her visions in clear and saw it was only Matt and TK.

"Matt? TK?" Matt helps the young girl to stand up, but she gotten dizzy. "Whoa, head rush."

"You sure you're okay, Akane?"

"Yeah, I'm-" All of the sudden, that voice didn't belong to neither of the brothers.

She and the brothers look up in front of them and saw three little monsters. One is a white guinea pig with long ears going all the way to his back. Another is an orange one with a black horn on top of his head and the last one is a blue looking kitty with a letter M in the middle of its forehead with his golden eyes looking a little concern, but grinning to see the young girl is okay.

"Uh, am I dreaming or am I really looking at three head monsters?" Akane asked the brothers, well, mostly to Matt when she saw TK is playing with the white guinea pig.

"You're not dreaming." Matt tell her when she notice he still has his hands within hers as she quickly let go. "Uh, sorry."

"It's okay." She clears her throat when she notice the blue kitty stood by her side. Not until the two heard that the little guinea pig ran away with TK after him, then Matt and the little orange one went after them. The two look at each other.

"Aren't you going after your friends, Akane?" He asked, making Akane fix her white bandana on her head, then dust herself off.

"Actually, those two are just random kids I've met back at camp." She said, then she kneels down to be on the little kitty's level. "What's your name, anyway?" Which, it made him giggle.

"My name's Wanyamon," He said. "And you are in Digital World." That stunned the girl as she look around.

"Digital World? Does this means I'm not in camp anymore?" As she stood up, she didn't see the other campers or the hut anywhere.

"I've been waiting for you, Akane." She look back down at the blue kitty when he hops into her arms.

"Oh! Wait, what do you mean you've been waiting for me?" She asked him, hearing him giggling.

"You and I are meant to be partners, that's what I meant." He answered with a cute grin on his face, which it made Akane gotten a little surprise.

"Partners? Just what are you exactly?"

"I'm a Digimon, short for Digital Monsters." Wanyamon said when he and Akane heard someone screaming, more like roaring, which it made Wanyamon stiffed as a bone. "Akane, you gotta get out of here."

"Why?" That's when she saw Wanyamon's eyes widen in shock when she look over and saw a giant red bug coming at them.

"Duck!" And she did when the bug flew by as he flew back into the sky when she look up.

"What was that?"

"That's Kuwagamon, he's a very mean Digimon." Wanyamon said. "Just be careful, Akane, he's not very friendly, especially when it comes something small." She scowl at the blue kitty.

"What are you trying to say?" Then, she thought of something. "Don't answer that." Not until she heard someone's screaming when she and Wanyamon look up and saw it was Mimi and a Digimon of her own.

"Mimi?" The young pink hat girl look up and saw Akane.

"Oh, Akane, am I glad to see you." She said when the two girls and their Digimon heard Kuwagamon again when they saw him coming.

"Come on, we gotta find Tai and the others." Akane grabs Mimi's hand and the two began to run with the giant red bug going after them. Akane let Mimi and her Digimon, who she learned is Tanemon, run ahead while her and Wanyamon stayed behind them to see if Kuwagamon is still after the girls, which he is.

"Mimi, it's okay, you don't have to be afraid." That sounded like Tai when the giant bug flew ahead and almost knock over the two girls down and flew into the trees.

"Mimi, are you all right?"

"Think so." Mimi said.

"Don't worry, Tanemon's here to protect you." Tanemon said while Akane kneels by Mimi's side.

"You sure you're okay?" She asked her, seeing the young girl nodded her head.

"Akane, where were you?" She heard her neighbor when she look up and gasped.

"Move it, here he comes!" Everyone look up and saw the giant bug again as they all began to run away with Tai leading the team back where the girls came out from.

"Down!" Everyone dived to the ground with Wanyamon landing on Akane's head, protecting her while Kuwagamon flew away.

"When will this nightmare ever ends?" Joe cried. "My mom wants a complete and total refund." Akane came in and help him up.

"This isn't camp anymore, Joe." She told him when everyone heard the bug piercing scream.

"Okay, that does it, no more running away." Tai said.

"What else can we do?" Sora asked him.

"She's right," Matt said. "There's no way we can fight that thing."

"Well, we can't do anything by standing around, come on!" Akane led the kids out of the forest with Wanyamon on her head since she's the fastest runner. Once she got everyone out, she notice there's a cliff up ahead as she came into a stop.

"Hold it." She held her arms out for everyone stop running. "Did anyone bring a chopper?" She said when Tai made his way over. "Tai, be careful." She watched her neighbor go up to the cliff and saw an anger look on his face when he look back at the team.

"There's no way down, we're gonna have to find another way." He said.

"Another way where?" Sora asked when the kids heard trees crashing down, making everyone run over to Tai when the bug appeared, making the kids dived down again and they saw the bug went after Tai.

"Tai, look out!" Akane called out when she saw his little Digimon manage to attack with pink bubbles and Kuwagamon just flick him off.

"Not again!"

"Digimon, attack!" All the little ones, including Wanyamon attacked the giant bug ad he got upset while he uses his claw to attack them and send them to the ground.

"Yokomon!" Sora called out while the kids ran up to their respective Digimon and Akane went over to her new friend.

"Wanyamon, buddy, speak to me, are you okay?" She held him close to her, brushing his fur on his head when his golden eyes open, making the young girl feel a little relief.

"I'm sorry, Akane," He said. "I only did it, so I can protect you, I don't want anything happen to you." That made her melt.

"Oh, Wanyamon."

"Akane, get out of there!" She heard Matt when she look up and saw Kuwagamon came back for more. She stood up and began to walk backwards, so she can protect everyone else, but Tai didn't let her since he put her behind him.

"I was hoping we've seen the last of him." Sora said.

"Me, too, guess he had other plans." Tai said.

"I knew I should've bought my bug spray." Akane scowl over at Matt, seeing him flinch when he saw it.

"This isn't a good time to joke around, blondie." The two heard the pincers snapping, which it bought them attention back to the bug and saw he is standing on his legs, walking over to the team. "You gotta be kidding me, he can walk?!"

"Get ready to run." She heard Tai when she felt Wanyamon wiggle out of her arms and landed on the ground.

"Wanyamon?"

"No, we fight." He said, shocking everyone else, except the little Digimon.

"He's right," Tai's little Digimon said when he look up at Tai. "It's the only way, we stay and fight."

"Give it up, will ya?" Akane watch all the seven little Digimon, trying to break free everyone's grasps when she look down at her own, waiting for her permission.

"Wanyamon, are you sure?" The little blue kitty said with a brave smile on his face.

"Believe in me, Akane, we can do this." He said, making Akane smile softly back at him and gave him a nod to go with his friends, hearing the team calling out for their Digimon when she place her hands where her heart is.

"I do believe in you, Wanyamon." She said when all of the sudden, the sky darken, releasing not one, but eight rainbow lights, landing the eight little Digimon and they began to digivolve.

"Koromon, digivolve to...Agumon!"

"Yokomon, digivolve to...Biyomon!"

"Tsunomo, digivolve to...Gabumon!"

"Motimon, digivolve to...Tentomon!"

"Bukamon, digivolve to...Gomamon!"

"Tokomon, digivolve to...Patamon!"

"Tanemon, digivolve to...Palmon!"

"Wanyamon, digivolve to...Gaomon!"

"What in the world?" The kids were in shock of their life, they saw their little Digimon friends aren't so little anymore.

"What happen to the little guys?" Sora gasped.

"They're bigger." And the Digimon went to work when they all tackle Kuwagamon, but the bug knocked them down, making them land on the ground.

"All right, you asked for it." The dino, Agumon said as the Digimon attack.

"Poison Ivy!" Palmon uses her vines to hold the bug down to let her friends fight.

"Boom Bubble, pah!" Patamon attacked first, making Kuwagamon flinch.

"Super Shocker!" The lady bug, Tentomon called out while Agumon helps the blue canine, Gaomon to lift him up in the air to attack.

"Gao Rush, hah!" He let out rapid punches and attacked the bug on the face, seeing him stumble, which this is a chance for the seal, Gomamon to slide in and trip the bug over while the rest take care of the rest.

"Pepper Breath!"

"Blue Blaster!"

"Spiral Twister!" The eight Digimon gathered behind the orange dino as they get ready.

"All together, everyone!" Agumon called out, five out of eight release their attacks again, sending Kuwagamon into the forest, being defeated for now.

The kids are still where they are, still in shock, which it made Akane to snap out of it as she laughed when she saw the eight Digimon ran over to the kids. Especially the blue canine when she ran over to him and been bombarded by him, falling backwards.

"Wahh, oof!" She stood up and gave her new friend a big bear hug. "You were amazing, buddy." She heard him chuckle, not realizing that she made him faintly blush, not until their moment is ruined when they heard the scream again and Kuwagamon appeared.

"Oh, come on!" Akane and Gaomon ran back towards the kids and stood in front of them, but what worst is that Kuwagamon uses his pincers to the ground, cutting the cliff and sending the kids to their doom.
