In a nutshell, a bunch of us where hanging out and playing Majora's Mask.
We were making all these jokes about milk being Link's favourite drink and that got me thinking, imagine Link at the milk bar throwing back a stiff one and listening to the Indi-go-gos after stopping Majora's Mask.
That got me imagining that instead of having alcohol the 'stiff'
drink would be something like chocolate milk.
I don't own Legend of Zelda . blah blah
Link entered the exclusive bar with one thought on his mind. Relaxation. He had spent a few days in Clock town being treated as a hero and hell, he thought he deserved it, after all he went through.
As he sat down at the bar, the sweet voice and smooth tones of the Indi-go-gos lulled him into a state of peaceful contemplation.
The bartender came up and started talking to Link but he was so distracted that he never answered with anything more than a shake or nod of his head.
"Son? I don't understand? Do you want a bottle of our exclusive Chateau Romani?"
Link didn't answer straight away, thinking about his choice. On one hand he could go for inexpensive choice but really, he had enough money and time to enjoy the more expensive bottle of milk.
Link nodded and the bartender handed him the bottle. Link uncorked the bottle and was enveloped in the heady scent of the vintage milk. As he brought the bottle to his lips and had a sip, he was thrown into the musky
flavour and he brought the bottle back to his lips and swallowed half of the bottle.
"It seems you're really enjoying that bottle of milk there son" The bartender said. "You know because we're all so grateful to you for saving our home I think I can let you in on my little secret."
Link looked up in interest, wondering what the bartender could possibly tell him.
"Me and a fellow in town have been working on a new product for the bar. It's called Chateau Chocolate. It's a bottle of Chateau Romani milk infused with the finest melted chocolate we can offer. So far we can only make 5 bottles a week
and they cost 500 rupees per bottle. But son, you can try a bottle for free if you'd like."
Link looked at the bartender with excitement in his eyes and nodded his consent.
The bartender went into the back room and came back with the bottle of milk and passed it to Link.
Link uncorked the new bottle of milk and was instantly hit with the strong aroma of cocoa. He brought the bottle to his lips and drank some of the liquid.
It was better than anything he had ever tasted. It incorporated the flavours of Chateau Romani and mixed it with the smooth indulgent taste of milk chocolate.
Link was on cloud nine. He hadn't enjoyed a glass of milk in so long and the flavours of the exclusive milk and the soft tones of the Indo-go-gos had made Link sleepy.
He nodded his thanks to the bartender and made his way back to the inn. He realised that while he liked Clock Town and all the people there, he wanted to go back home. He missed Hyrule with its long sweeping planes and its picturesque view.
Link had made up his mind. He would leave in the morning.
But he would never forget Clock Town. Or it's milk.
