A/N: I think this one's a bit crap.  Especially at the start.  Anyone got any suggestions for changes that will make it better? Thanks :D

NB: Harry goes insane and dies, basically.  You have been warned.

I wake up in a cold sweat.

He is falling - over and over again.  I try to reach him!  I try so hard!
But I never try hard enough, it seems.

I climb out of bed and over to the window.  There is Sirius – the dog star.
I can see him.

But he's up there.
And I'm down here
Alone.

I can't do this.

I scream.  An ear-piercing scream that tears through the night.  I scream of pain, fear, loneliness, sadness, frustration.  That I don't want to be here anymore.
I want to be with my parents and Sirius.
But mostly Sirius.  Everything is Sirius.

Screaming...

Ron wakes up, blithering.  "What's that?"
My screaming is too loud for him.  I'll wake everyone up.

I don't care.  I keep screaming.

What would he know
I ask myself, as I continue to scream
Who's he lost

I feel satisfaction as the others jump out of bed.  And I scream louder.

Screaming
Screaming

Ron carefully comes over.
He looks at me strangely when he sees I'm not screaming at anything at all.

That's what he thinks.

"Harry! Harry what's wrong?"

I scream
And scream

Louder
Louder

I don't want this.

He watches in horror as I climb out the window and disappear from his vision

"Wait!"

I scream all the way down.

Silence.

Ron Weasley runs down to the grounds, and sees his best friend lying on the ground, his temple split, and his limbs and neck at awkward angles.  Blood is everywhere.

He is dead.

Tears pour down Ron's face, and collapses to the ground.  He looks up into the night sky, trying to breathe.

Suddenly, a great bolt of light shoots through the stars.  It spirals around and around, until it finally settles next to one star in particular.

A sob sounds next to him.

In surprise, he turns to see Hermione.

She is looking up into the sky, tears are running down her cheeks.

"Next to the dog-star," she whispers "Sirius."

Ron's eyes widen and he looks over at Harry then up at the new star.  "Harry..."

He smiles sadly, and stands up to hug Hermione.

As Ron and Hermione hold onto each other for support, the wind weaves through the trees, howling and wailing.  But underneath the noise, if one listens carefully, they will hear the voice of a boy.  His wild, happy laugh is borne upon the wind, as well as one joyfully spoken word.
