Week Long One Year Anniversary
It's Been a While
I so did not know what to name this. Or the others for that matter.
Again, delayed story is delayed.
Disclaimer: And I also haven't written for this pairing in a while.
Characters: Toris, Feliks
Week Long One Year Anniversary
It's Been a While
Toris was sitting outside, in the backyard, his mind in a much more different setting and place. It was a nice day outside today, not too warm, not too cold. The sun could be felt, but there were also a few friendly clouds in the sky as well. It was truly pleasant. He felt quite at ease with everything around him for once and nothing was troubling him for the moment.
On his lap, a blonde man was resting his head. Feliks was twirling a leaf that had fallen from one of the neighbouring trees in front of his face. They were both simply relaxing and enjoying this rare moment of silence. At least, Lithuania thought so until Poland opened his mouth to say something.
"Hey, Liet?" The brunette looked down and was met with a pair of green eyes looking into his own. He arched his brow in question.
"Do you, like, remember the first time we sat here?" The question seemed to throw him off guard a bit and he wasn't quite sure what the other meant by it.
"I do. It was, like, a year ago. You found this bench at the store and, like, you only bought it because it was on special. I know, you, like, totally told me when you got home. I thought it was, like, totally ugly at first, but you didn't listen to me and you put it here, outside, exactly where it is now and you said that, like, it would be perfect for the yard.
Do you know that I totally wanted to throw it out? It, like, totally doesn't go with the décor and one night, while you were sleeping, I snuck down and, like, tried to move it, but then my nail chipped so I totally ran inside and, like, let it be.
Then the following day, it was a Saturday, and you, like, decided to take a break from work for once and it was sunny outside. It was warmer than it is today. Anyways, you came outside and, like, you just sat there, looking at the trees and stuff.
I saw you from the kitchen window and I was about to come and tell you that we were totally out of Polish snacks and that we, like, had to go and get some now because I was totally starving, but then I saw your face and the words just, like, died there.
You looked really peaceful. And happy. For some reason, you just seemed, like, I don't know, like, you didn't have a care in the world. There was just something unguarded about it and I didn't want to break it. So, like, I just sat down next to you, on this really ugly bench, and put my head on your shoulder.
We sat there, here, like that, for, like, ten minutes until you took my hand in yours and that was it. We didn't talk, we didn't do anything, but I totally felt connected with you. I liked that feeling and I'm glad we were able to share it. It made me hate this totally lame bench a little less. It's also one of the reasons why it's still here and why we're sitting on it today." Feliks was silent again after that. Toris brought his hand down and threaded his fingers through the other man's soft hair.
He smiled softly to his lover and they remained that way, lost in pleasant thoughts, connected in the quietude of the moment.
