Choices.
She didn't think it was gonna come to this. But it did.
she has two choices, but she can only pick one.
Either Naruto, her overly-optimistic sunkissed teammate who thinks anyone can be saved. Naruto, who loved her from the time she doesn't even remember. Naruto, who has gone through a past that doesn't match his optimistic view of the world.
Or Sasuke. Sasuke-kun. If she was in this situation just 3 years ago, she would've picked sasuke instantly. But it's 3 years later. And he's not the same. He's this broken boy with this broken past that should not have happend. He's this little brother of someone who made too many sacrifices for him. She didn't know the true story about the massacre until a few moments ago.
("YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THIS! YOU DON'T FUCKING NEED TO DO THIS! WHY CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND WE CAN MAKE THIS A BETTER PLACE? WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STOP?!'' Sakura screamed at Sasuke after he exceeded at placing a certain blow to Naruto. Sasuke ignored her and started sprinting towards Naruto's form. "Stop being so selfish for once Sasuke-kun." she said in a voice almost inaudible. But Sasuke heard it. And this made him stop dead in his tracks. "I'm being selfish? Who are you to say that? Do you even know? Do you even fucking know the truth, sakura?"And the next thing she knew she was inside a was at night, and she saw a young Sasuke running down the street and-
Her breathe hitched. "No" was all she could say. Her eyes widened and tears started forming there and then the genjutsu stopped.
She just stared at Sasuke for a moment.
And then Naruto attacked him. Sasuke dodged him, mostly. But he had a bad wound on his abdomen. But that doesn't mean he did no damage to Naruto. When he sensed him he immediately went into a defense position which didn't help and landed a blow on Naruto's left upper chest.)
Now she was standing here with the knowledge of Sasuke's past and knowing the option that she can only save one.
It was Naruto or sasuke.
And it was her decision.
It was knowing everything about the true intentions of Itachi and Danzou.
It was knowing about Sasuke's idealism.
Or Naruto's perspective. She knew that Naruto can give anyone a second chance.
She knew Naruto's intention is for the betterment of everyone.
But another difference of Naruto and Sasuke was she loved Naruto. But she was in love with Sasuke.
.
.
.
She glanced at both sides where Naruto and Sasuke's body laid half-conscious.
And she came to her decision.
"I'm sorry sasuke-kun" was all she thought before she started sprinting towards Naruto.
