I apologise for not updating my stories recently, the main reasons were school and writer's block. But I'll post this one-shot to make up for my in-activeness.
Couple: Kalosshipping (Calem/Serena)
Summary: Calem doesn't know what to feel when Serena announces her plans to travel the other regions without him.
Genre: Romance, Friendship, Angst, Hurt and Comfort
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon.
Author's Note: This situation takes place post-game and where Serena is the player character.
Calem didn't know how or what he should be feeling when his mind processed what his close friend Serena had just said.
Flashback, to a few minutes ago
Calem wondered why his neighbor, Serena, had asked them to gather at her house. Calem, Tervor, Shauna and Tierno were gathered into Serena's room.
"So, what did you call all of us here Serena?" Asked Shauna?
Serena looked at little guilty, which made Calem confused.
"I have decided to travel around the other regions, I realised that I was relying too much on you guys, mostly emotionally for that moral support." Said Serena, after taking a deep breath.
Shauna quickly shook her head, "Don't think like that, we chose to give you that moral support."
Serena shook her head, "It's because of that support you gave me, I have that mentality that you guys will support me. I need to grow on my own, that's why I decided to travel alone."
"If that's what you want." Said Tierno.
"Yeah, you're our friend, we will support your decision. But you can always call us when you need help." Said Trevor.
"Just update us from time to time." Spoke Calem.
Serena nodded and gave a small smile.
End of Flashback
Calem still didn't know what or how he should be feeling even after his mind had processed the earlier events. Calem felt a little betrayed and hurt, emotions he thought that he wouldn't feel from Serena. Serena, the girl who was his neighbor, his rival, the girl whom he considered to be a close friend and the girl who he fell in love with. Calem thought that they promised that they would share the burden together, all the five of them.
"So, when are you leaving?" Asked Tierno?
"Tomorrow, I'm meeting Professor Sycamore tomorrow so that he can upgrade my Pokédex. He also arranged my ferry from Coumarine City to the Sinnoh region's Canalave City." Replied Serena.
Calem was again taken aback, he never expected Serena to leave so soon. He had wanted to spend some more time with her, before she left.
Calem could only see Serena off the next day at Lumoise City, as the Professor had sent him on an errand to deliver something to the Pokémon League. Calem felt a little regretful that his actions had caused Serena to believe that she wasn't independent enough.
