Behind Those Masks
-Ch.1-
A girl, seemingly 12 years old stood in front of the well, fingering the old wood. She had long and wavy silver-brown hair that reached her waist and a pair of clear silver-blue eyes. Her skin is pale and her lips are as red as rose petals. She is wearing a royal-blue silk sun dress that reached her mid-thigh, black stocking, white cardigan and a pair of white gladiator shoes. The dress falls gently around her like a waterfall. It made her look more mature than any other kids but somehow fitted her well. On her neck rests a chained ring. The ring is made of pure silver, shaped rose. On the middle of the red rose is a blood red gem.
She peered at the bottom of the well with a calculating expression before standing straight again. She can clearly felt the magic around the well, and it responded to her mere presence by glowing blue. She watched warily as her own golden aura entwines with the well's pale blue one.
"Hn, so that's how it is… Very well, this shall be interesting," She says quietly to herself as she took her cell phone and texts her 'friends' to inform that she will be gone for a few weeks, perhaps months. Without waiting for their replies, she adjust her messenger bag and jumped to the lip of the well gracefully. A small smirk appears on her lips before it disappears as fast as it appears. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes before jumping in, feeling the strange sensation of floating.
The sensation is not entirely pleasant, yet it is not unpleasant either. When she opened her eyes again, she founds herself inside the same well. She took notice that the wood of the well seems less old (apple: is that the right sentence?). Jumping out of the well, she blinked when her feet touches grassy surface. She looks around to see that she is surrounded by forest.
A particular tree caught her eyes and a small smirk of amusement crept onto her face. 'Hn… So it actually send me back in time, huh... From the looks of things, I'll say this is about 500 years ago.' Her smirk widened.
"interesting… I wonder if he is still alive? Oh well, we'll just see about that later…" She thought out loud and shrugged before heading iside the forest, away from the humans.
Well that's all for chapter 1! The man that she mentioned will be revealed in time! Sorry if the chapter is short!
