Warning: This is my first fanfic, so it might be kind of...not good. Then
again it might be. Please R&R!!! Thanx!

A girl walked down the crowded hall of her middle school, parting the huddled masses. Nodding was her way of saying, "I'm sorry. Thank you for letting me get by." All of a sudden, she bumped into a boy, knocking the books out of his arms.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sor-"
"Get away from me you freak!"
It's true. She was considered a freak. Even though she was very nice, no one would take the time to talk to her. She never did know why. Maybe it was her looks. She was very pretty, but her eyes were hidden behind correctional devices they call "glasses". The shining white of her teeth looked dull compared to the glare of her braces. Her looks were one thing, but maybe no one talked to her because she was very shy and had low self- esteem. She never could work up the courage to talk to anyone. Most of the time it was because she didn't want to. Sometimes she wished she could just get away from all these people so she didn't have to talk to them incase they said something to her. Most of the people who did talk to her were very nice; she just didn't know what to say back to them. Every day at school for her was just waiting to get home and go on her computer. She loved surfing the net. Reading other people's blogs was one of her favorite pastimes. She liked to know what other people thought about without having to talk to them.
One day she was reading the blog of someone by the name of Jessica, when all of a sudden-
"You've got mail!"
"Stupid junk! It escaped the spam filter!"
She knew it was only spam, but she read it anyway. The email was from some person advertising a new online RPG called "The World". She knew it involved human interaction, so she closed it out. Instantly, more of the same email completely flooded her inbox. She tried to delete them but more just kept appearing. She knew then that deleting them wasn't going to do any good, so she decided to just go to the website, incase that would make it stop. She clicked on the link and was taken to a very decorative page. She skimmed over the many subjects and paragraphs about the game, and decided to try anyway. No one would know who she was, and if she really messed up, she could always start over, right? Yeah.
"Name: Yokonami [AN: I found the word in a Japanese dictionary. I think it means a transverse wave or something like that ;D]
Class: Heavy Blade." And with one click of her mouse, and she was hurtling down some kind of tunnel full of pretty colors. All of a sudden, WHAM! She had landed on the grassy ground near the bank of a river. "It's a good thing I couldn't feel that," she thought. She looked at her surroundings. "I must be in Mac Anu. It's prettier than the picture on the website. I might just enjoy this after all."
