After she had put her little letter in the little glass bottle she held gently in her hand, she had kneeled down with her knees pressing against the grains of sand on the beach and let the ocean waves take the bottle away. It was a full moon that night, the night she made a wish in a little note in her little glass bottle. She wiped her eyes and sniffed. She had been crying.
She looked into the bright moonlit sky, thousands of stars in the sky filled her with awe. It was like they were forming clusters of glitter. She never could see this in her time. This was such a pure era. At least the environment…The wars were still going on. She sighed and rubbed her nose making sure there were no residue of snot left from her crying. It had been 3 years since she had been in this era. Three full years…
"Inuyasha…" she whispered into the quiet sky with soothing sounds of the waves gently shushing everything else in the world.
Three years since she had met him. But only 2 years of memories with him. He had been missing for a year now. When they defeated Naraku, they had been so happy. Miroku and Sango went ahead and got married and quickly were expecting child. But them…Inuyasha and Kagome…it went slow. They needed time to fully grasp the reality of what had happened. Inuyasha for the most part, finally feeling free from any obligations that pulled on his soul. A year they had been together, just being around each other. Kagome couldn't go back to her world since the jewel had disappeared, and the sadness that overwhelmed her and the fact she would never see her family ever again was great.
He had helped her through that, he had…
But for some reason he was gone. He left. No words, nothing. Neither Miroku or Sango said they knew.
So what did she do? She waited…she waited for him. She had lived the last 2 years as a normal village girl, learning from Keade on how to tame her spiritual powers that was left in her. But none-the-less, an ordinary village girl. Men have tried to court her, tried to convince her that demons weren't worth it.
And Inuyasha had saved that village how many times?
She went crazy, she couldn't take it. Every day she cried, wanting to kill herself for being alone, for having sure hopes that they would be together. But knowing he could be out there somewhere, waiting for her.
Well it was time for them to be together. So she went looking for him. She had all the necessary supplies to last her for a while, plenty of arrows just in case. She had tamer spiritual powers now. She was fine being able to go on her own.
"Please, wait for me." she whispered and stood on her two legs, turning around in her Miko garb.
"Let me find you…" She walked off into the moonlit sky, leaving behind her sweet little wish in her sweet little glass bottle.
She disappeared in the looming shadows of the tree, walking everywhere and anywhere to try to find rumor or aura of her sweet beloved.
