So, I was watching tv and a commercial inspired me to write this.
Edward strode through the streets of Central in a foul mood. Winry's birthday was right around the corner and he had neglected to get her anything yet. He had been wandering through the city trying to find the stupid store that his brother had suggested to him. Al had said this store would have exactly what Winry wanted.
After an eternity, Ed came upon the shop. It was, of course, a shop where only gear heads like Winry would come to shop at. They sold everything a mechanic would ever want. Winry came here whenever she visited Central. She even knew the owner by name, Jared. The store was aptly named after him.
Ed sighed and walked in.
Ten minutes later Ed came back out of the building, a satisfied smirk on his lips.
The look on her face when she gets this… Ed thought.
Since Ed was always busy, he couldn't actually go out to Resembool and give the gift to Winry in person. He was forced to mail it to her.
When Winry checked the mail one day, she found a nice, little box addressed to her.
"From Ed." she read the note aloud. Then she opened up the box and gasped, "He went to Jared."
