She sees fear, she sees grief. She sees what she always saw. But she also sees hope, something that was a fantasy. She sees a building world, but hers has crumbled.

She sees a dead sister, a haunted mother and a forgotten father. She sees a scared friend, but running won't help him. She sees a damaged love, but nothing can fix him.

She sees people thanking her, she doesn't why. She carries her ghosts with her. She wants to forget, that is the best she can do.

He sees families, he sees love. He doesn't have any of them. He won't run this time; he hopes there won't be another time. He light somewhere in the melting dark, but he can't reach it.

He sees their faces, they were never important to him. He doesn't want to believe it, but it's true. It's his fault, her fault. He can't forgive anyone, but he can't blame anyone either.

He sees everyone's pity, sometimes he wants their pity. But pity won't help anyone. He wants to cry, that is the best he can do.

He sees scars, he sees pain. It's the same all over again. But it's not. He wears them proudly; he wants to believe he earned them. By standing by her side, but she has abandoned him.

He can't help his family, he can't help her, he can't help anyone but himself. He doesn't know what he'll do. His own self scares him.

He sees their respect, he sees their acceptance. He pretends to be someone else. He wants to run, that is the best he can do.

He sees respite, he sees smiles. He sees a bottle of wine. It's for celebration. It's a crazy feeling, it makes him happy. But they were just children, and now they are too broken.

He sees every child who went in there, every hopeless death. He blames it on himself. He was too selfish, he didn't care. He wants mend it, but he can't.

He sees their faith, he wants to keep it. He knows he wouldn't have been here. He wants to drink, that is the best he can do.

She sees hope, she sees solitude. So much for good things to happen. She has a son. Someone who will grow up in a better world.

She sees a dead husband, a fatherless son. She sees herself lost, and she'll be alone always. She doesn't know what to do. She wants to go back and stay there.

She sees him each night, they say it'll be okay. He wouldn't do this to her. She wants to be strong, that is the best she can do.

She sees stars, she sees flowers. She sees end, and a new start. She has wounds, she has scars. She knows they'll heal. But her nightmares will never go away.

She lost everything before, now she doesn't have anything to lose. Yet, she cries herself to sleep every night. She wants it all to end; she wants to be someone else.

She sees what they see in her, someone brave. She is lost in morphine. She wants to forget herself, that is the best she can do.
