I wrote this originally over a year ago for a Twibble challenge and it was to write a less than 250 word drabble using the quote, "Would you like a round of applause?" from the Twilight books.
I found the file on my computer, having completely forgotten about it, and it made me smile. I hope it makes you smile too.
Of course, Stephanie Meyer owns the Twilight characters; I just like to play puppet master.

"I have a bet." Emmett said as he turned to Edward. Edward laughed once under his breath before he spoke.
"Sure." he said in his velvet voice. Just hearing him made my heart race and Emmett chuckled at the sound. I stared at them in curiosity as I waited for the mystery bet to be revealed. Then Emmett turned to me. He slowly picked up my hand and moved it towards Edward. He placed my palm on Edward's cheek and electricity immediately flew up my arm and staggered my breathing.
Emmett let go of my hand, but it stayed where it was. Edward smiled my favorite smile as he closed his eyes and leaned into my palm. I felt blood rise to my cheeks, probably making them an embarrassing deep red. Then Emmett let out a booming laugh, making me jump.
"I won." Emmett said cheerily. Edward just kept smiling as he kissed my palm before placing it back on his cheek.
"What was the bet?" I asked.
"If Emmett could make you blush in less than ten seconds." Edward answered as he closed his eyes again.
"And I could." Emmett bragged.
"Would you like a round of applause?" I asked sarcastically as my blush deepened.
