Wizards everywhere flummoxed by 'Marauder' cards in the latest chocolate frog card collection

The anticipation leading up to the release of the newest collection of Chocolate Frog cards (collector's items famously sold in the chocolate frog confections) soon gave way to confusion over the inclusion of four 'Marauder' cards yesterday morning.

Amongst the predicted 'Ron Weasley', 'Hermione Granger' and 'Neville Longbottom' were four special edition cards dubbed 'The Marauders' by collectors. The cards, depicting a werewolf labelled 'Moony', a rat 'Wormtail', a dog 'Padfoot' and a stag named 'Prongs', have been the object of much debate over their identities.

"I just didn't know what to make of it!" Dawlish Badgery, who uncovered a 'Padfoot' card yesterday morning, speaks. "The description says nothing more than 'Padfoot was a Marauder, therefore he was a Legend'. Really, is this a joke?" It has since been confirmed that the 'Moony' and 'Prongs' cards contain similar inscriptions.

However, the 'Wormtail' card differs slightly by ominously adding 'Yet the rat was the downfall of Marauders all.' which has done nothing to stem the rumours behind these infamous characters.

Luna Lovegood, reporter and editor for magazine The Quibbler, claims they are the animagi forms of the popular Wizardry Band, The Weird Sisters. The sisters themselves have yet to comment. Continued on page 2.

Harry Potter put down The Daily Prophet, grinning in spite of himself. He knew that, someday, the truth will out. Someone would let slip the famous pranksters' fond nicknames and the plot would unravel from there, but until then, there was one secret he could keep to himself.

He lifted one of the 'Padfoot' cards from the top of his pile, and whispered "Snuffles". Almost immediately, the image of a large, black dog was replaced by his godfather and Harry smiled fleetingly.

Sirius was laughing at something that wasn't in the photo, his Hogwarts robes askew and his handsome features alight with youth once more. Harry nodded, respectfully, before changing the card back with another muttered word.

Yes. He could keep this one secret to himself.

A/N: Just to note, you can uncover the 'Moony' card by saying 'Romulus' (his PotterWatch codename) the 'Prongs' card by saying 'Lilly Evans' (as he'd be desperate to see if it's her) and the 'Wormtail' card by saying 'Scabbers' (which Ron gets almost immediately after he sees the picture of the rat is missing a toe.)
