What music the darkness composes
Drenched in twilight
The moon and stars' lore
It creates chocolate violins and harmonious eyes

The music is endless, streaming through the corridors
Red and white roses are atop the balcony
Torrential rain giving birth to rhythm
Dreams and nightmares become one with cacophony

Twisting and churning into a boundless cataclysm
She speaks, she cries, she sheds tears, she screams
His music filled with perpetual hatred and lust
Tears of sorrow compared to rivers and streams

If he lets her go, then perish he must
A demon that devours her sanity
The darkness composes the most beautiful peace
As one who hears this will say the least

What music the darkness composes
A painting of garnets and ribbons
Beautiful, bloodstained, and ancient
Resting in darkness eternally, and in peace

(A/N: I got the title from a Malik/Marik story by Cliscia, which is surprisingly dark, and where I also got inspiration for many of my Marik/Serenity fics. Read and review!)
