The Thief Who Stole My Heart~
Chapter 1 – A Heated Interrogation
Carmelita opens the door to the interrogation room. Upon entering, she could see a brown, wooden table. The walls were painted with gray, which the paint was cracking and peeling off the walls. God, isn't it in our budget to fix that by now? Sitting at the table was who she was interrogating that evening. There, sat a defeated looking raccoon, staring down at the table that lay in front of him. The moment Carmelita shut the door, the Cooper looked up from his staring contest with the table, a look of surprise flashing across his face. Once he realized who stood at the doorway, something showed in his eyes, joy, relief maybe?
"Well, fancy seeing you here gorgeous!" Sly says, pulling a pseudo grin and cocking his eyebrow up.
"Cut it, Cooper." The orange vixen growled, pulling out the chair opposite of the criminal, and sitting down. She sighs and pulls out a small folder from her jacket pocket, opening it up to a file titled 'Sly Cooper – Case 39'
"On the night of June 23rd you were caught stealing a priceless painting from the Bibliotheque Nationale de France museum of art. Do you have anything to say in your defense?" Carmelita asked the thief, as if reading straight from the file she was staring at.
"Nope, nothing at all. Oh, there is one thing." The young man said, leaning forward into the table. Carmelita simply looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. Sly-placing his hands on the table for support-leaning closer-whispers in her ear, "I'll be seeing you later tonight, beautiful."
Carmelita-eyes wide open as well as cheeks burning a crimson red, yells: "Stop talking nonsense, you criminal scum!" Suddenly panting heavily from embarrassment.
Why did he do that? Is he insane? Does he know we're being recorded at this very moment?
Sly just sat back and put on a small grin of victory.
"Since you have nothing else to say," Carmelita said, regaining herself, "This interrogation is over."
"See you soon, gorgeous." Sly said casually, winking at her as she left the room.
