After the fall of the Eggman Empire, Sonic's world was at peace. Eggman was reformed after his amnesia, and has been retired from being evil. However, a new evil has awoken from the Sol Dimension known as S.W.O.R.D (Secret World Order of Rational Defense) the Sol Dimension version of GUN, who had crossed over into the Prime Dimension, Sonic's dimension. They used to be good guys, but they were taken over by an evil man known as The General, who had a green uniform with red trim, looking much like Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, and Joseph Stalin. However, SWORD had occupied the entire human world in the Prime Dimension, leaving Sonic's world controlled by the Resistance, and the Human world controlled by SWORD.
