I wrote this for no real reason - it's hovering somewhere between oneshot and drabble. But hey, it's Andromeda!

Andromeda was a Ravenclaw.

She loved books, she loved learning. She yearned for knowledge and understanding. Bella and Cissy often rolled their eyes, but they were sisters, so they stuck together for each other while Cissy insisted on Madam Malkins' and Andy insisted on Flourish and Blotts and Bella insisted on going to dodgy places in Knockturn Alley.

When they were younger, and the biggest cause for concern was shopping… It had seemed so important then. Before Hogwarts, when they were still so close.

Andromeda was a Hufflepuff.

How had she let down her defenses? A Mudblood, no less. She was becoming too kind, too compassionate. A war was starting; it was no time to let feelings get in the way. Especially when Narcissa was marrying Lucius Malfoy and Bellatrix had that tattoo on her left forearm. Especially when more followers were being created in dark rooms and whispers of Crucio followed her in her dreams.

Follow the safe path, Andromeda.

But, she saw herself drifting away from Bella, from Cissy, and towards that easygoing Ted who was so genuine. She couldn't stop, and she didn't want to.

Andromeda was a Slytherin.

She stood with her back straight, wearing a beautiful dress and dancing with purebloods – fine young men, worthy of marriage. She laughed at the right times, and always knew what to say.

A smile crept over her, because no one knew about her personal rebellion, back at Hogwarts.

Andromeda was a Gryffindor.

She was running, running from that empty house and those false smiles put up for show. Was she a coward, for leaving? Running from a war – Andromeda Black would've laughed.

But Andromeda – Andy – no longer had a surname. If she did, it would be Tonks.

So? Leave a quick review, tell me what you think! I kind of want to extend this to other characters, but we'll see, I guess...
