The Surprises Inside
Prologue
Sometimes we must give up the things that we hold dearest. We try our hardest to hold on, to try and perservere through what evil surrounds us. But then there comes the moment, where your life and the lives of those around you are only hanging on by a thread, and those times are when the most difficult choices are made. You have to let go, whether it be of many or just one single precious thing, in order to save it from being lost entirely. That's when the pain sets in, and at first you don't feel it or even notice it, other times it consumes you entirely. So in order to endure the pain of giving up something precious, you bury deep in your heart. Sometimes you have to erase it from your memory completely, even if that means destroying every lasting and good moments about it entirely from your conciousness. You don't talk about it, write about it, or even think about it. Then it slowly becomes nothing.
This is what happens during wars; those times when friends and family completely lose sight of one another, or give each other up completely in order to survive the oncoming torment. What muggles don't realize is that those same feelings are almost ten times as worse for the wizarding world.

Author's Note: So this is just a short entry, I don't really like writing prologues, but I figured it'd be better than putting it at the beginning of the first chapter. I'm a little iffy of how the first chapter is turning out so if you have any suggestions, requests, or anything really just comment and let me know! :D Oh and thank you if you decide to go on to chapter one!
