It was a dark soundless night.

As silent as she was now for the rest of eternity.

The darkness reflected the life he believed he was left with now.

Sasuke sat quietly next to the grave of his wife, his face was emotionless as he looked on over the mountain remembering that day his wife's life ended. though he bared no emotion on his face, inside he greeted back the solitude he felt once before long ago.

the cries of war roared around him. but there is one cry that caused him to naturally turn in the direction of it owner. His daughter.

"MAMA!"

followed by the scream Sasuke was faced with the site that haunted him to this day. His wife, standing between an enemy and their daughter... with a hand through her chest. blood stained her top and spilled out of her mouth but her emerald green eyes showed no fear, no pain as she looked at the enemy straight in the eyes as she lifted her fist and returned the favor to the man infront of her. only she finished the job by using brute force and ripping his heart out and throwing in to the floor. The enemy fell to the floor with his hand still indulged in Sakuras chest but Sasuke never gave his wife the chance to drop before he caught her body and ripped the dead hand out if her chest.

to this day he still doesnt know how he got there so quick but what he does remember was the feeling of fear the wavered over him, the old feelings of walking through his home town finding members of his dead clan slashed on the floor. the trauma of finding the bodies of his dead family in a place he once called home.

he placed himself on the floor and rested he wifes head against his shoulder as he cupped her face with his one hand. sobs of his daughter could be heard " no no no MAMA" she wailed as she fell to her knees and looked at her parents, hysterically crying she burried her face into her lap which should have muffeled her cries but it still could be heard.

sasuke just looked down at his wife. his dark eyes met hers. he could see the life fading away. he was frozen. trapped, knowing that he couldnt do anything but comfort his wife in her last moments.

"sasuke kun" came the frail voice of sakura.

"please sakura please" his voice broke. sasuke couldnt handle this again. he couldnt bare the idea of losing some one dear again. he couldnt bare that pain again.

"its my turn now" she painfully smiled. sasuke looked at her wide eyed. his checks now wet. a burning sensation lured in his throat.

"thank you" she breathed out.

With that being said. Sakura left before her time.

the silence in that night was broken by the sound of sasuke's gentle sobs
