My first fanfic for an anime, and for Loveless. A short drabble because Soubi and Ritsuka are so adorable together. Please read and review!

Slow, steady breathing echoed through the silent room. Ritsuka was asleep on Soubi's bed, his ears twitching as if he were dreaming. Soubi watched him carefully from his place on the floor. A brush lay under his right hand, still touching the wings of an indigo butterfly that Soubi had been working on before Ritsuka had come. In his other hand, Soubi held an empty bottle, the opaque glass as cold as the floor under his fingertips.
Lifting the bottle, Soubi twirled it idly in his hand, watching the moonlight from the open window sparkle off its glassy surface. On a sudden impulse, Soubi laid it down on the floor and spun it, watching carefully as it began to slow. When it finally stopped, the neck of the bottle was pointing towards the bed, where Ritsuka laid sprawled across the pale sheets. His small hands were fisted beneath the pillow, and his tail flicked from side to side as his expression constantly changed in his sleep.
Without a sound, Soubi rose to his feet and walked over to the bed. He leant down and kissed Ritsuka lightly.
"I love you," he whispered. Ritsuka didn't wake. Soubi watched him for another moment, then sat back down on the floor, leaning his head against the side of the bed. He closed his eyes and let the night soothe him to sleep for the few hours that remained until dawn.
