Fever dreams

Summary: When Sam's ill, Dean tends to forget everything else, including the fact that he might be ill himself.
When Sam's fever finally breaks, he's weak as a new-born, but with an urge to piss Niagara Falls. He cracks open crusty eyelids, hoping Dean will be hovering with a bottle fit for purpose, but everything's silent.
Sam staggers on wobbly legs to the bathroom, only to trip over something on the floor.
Shit.
Dean. Inert, white and cold as the tiled floor. Even pinching Dean's cheeks can't raise any colour. Fucking idiot, forgetting to care for himself while looking after Sam.
Sam does what would he never be allowed when awake – pulls Dean into his arms and holds on.
