Demon's Daughter
Drabble One: Steps
Step. Pause. Step.
Step. Pause. Step.
This had been going on for over an hour.
Step. Pause. Step. She obviously had something she wanted. He knew she wouldn't ask. Not until he asked her what she wanted. It couldn't be food, he had gone out of his way to acquire some rice for her dinner. He would hunt for his own later. It couldn't be drink or rest. They had stopped nearly an hour before sunset, their camp next to a stream of fresh water. What was it that she wanted?
Step. Pause. Step.
"Rin. You have a question?" She looked at him nervously. "Umm… Lord Sesshomaru…" She took a deep breath, pulling her courage together. "It is cold. May I sleep with you?" There was only one thing he could say.
"Yes."
