The Case
"Here's another case for you, Tenoh." Sergeant Noir said, in a not-so-happy voice. Haruka sighed as she took the file from Noir's hands. "What is it this time?" Haruka replied as she skimmed though the papers. "There are two assassins on the loose. One of them is known as Makoto Kino. The other is Michiru Kaioh. They are the most top wanted people in the United States. All the other police forces in the other states couldn't find them. In these files, they break in a house, kill everything that moves, and steal some all types of things. Money, gold, jewelry, etc. What makes this case hard is that all of their victims are all type of people." The blonde sighed. "What makes you think that I can catch them?" The Sergeant glanced at the hard stone floor before glancing at the blonde. "Look, you have been here for a long time. You solve all types of cases. You are special, Tenoh. Do whatever means possible to catch them." Great, Haruka thought. I'm special. "Okay, I'll take it."
"Great. You can start searching tomorrow. You might want to look at the files, to familiarize yourself with this case. If you need anything, I'll be at my office. Good luck." With that, Noir left Haruka's office. Haruka sighed and stared at the files. This will take forever, she thought. After a few hours, Haruka left the police building and headed towards home.
Haruka slowly unlocked her apartment door. Being as quiet as possible, she put her keys on the kitchen table and walked over to the living room. Hotaru and Setsuna must have been watching late night television again, she thought. They were on the sofa, sleeping. I mustn't wake them, she softly said to herself. The tired officer then walked to her room, quietly shutting the door behind her. What she did not know was that the assassins were not far away...
